When and how to plant ginger?

The season for planting ginger is spring, specifically from the end of April to the beginning of May. Ginger likes warm and humid environment, and it will germinate when the temperature is stable above 16 degrees. The climate and temperature are suitable, and the seedlings can grow soon after planting. The suitable temperature for seedling growth is between 20 and 25 degrees, and the suitable temperature for stem and leaf germination is between 25 and 28 degrees. Therefore, the planting time must not be too early, and unstable temperature will hinder germination.

After ginger is drained, it can germinate without watering if the soil is wet. If the soil is dry, you should water it once, but not too much. After germination, water according to soil moisture and plant appearance. Early watering should be advocated in high temperature period, and late watering should be paid attention to in rainy season. During the growth period, ginger should be cultivated by intertillage and forced fertilization for many times. When the seedling height is about 15cm, it is suitable for intertillage weeding cultivation. Topdressing is mainly human feces, and it should be cultivated by spraying 3cm of land fruit and strong spirit. With the increase of tillering, each seedling should be forced to apply fertilizer once, and the thickness of soil cultivation should be 3~4 times without burying the seedling tip, so that the original planting ditch will become a ridge. Soil culture can inhibit excessive tillering and make ginger slices hypertrophy. Ginger is afraid of strong light, so it is feasible to interplant corn or beans, or put it in a shade shed or insert branches and wormwood stems for shade.
