The Origin and History of Guo Zi

1, derived from Ji's surname. In the Western Zhou Dynasty, King Wu established his uncle Guo Zhong in Baoji, Shaanxi, and called him Xiguo (Guo Tong). When it moved eastward, the western country moved to Henan, renamed the southern country, and was destroyed in Jin in the Spring and Autumn Period. The history of staying in the former western country said that it was destroyed by Qin in the Spring and Autumn Period.

Zhou Wuwang named his uncle Guo Shu in Dongguo, north of Xingyang, Henan. After moving eastward, the land of Dongguo was given to Zheng, who made great contributions to the eastward movement. The descendants of Dongguo moved northward to Pinglu, Shanxi Province, known as Beiguo in history, and later disappeared in Jin Dynasty. Before and after the opening of Jinyang in Zhao Jianzi (around 497 BC), descendants of Guo Xu moved to Jinyang and its northern area (now Taiyuan, Xinzhou and Yuanping).

There are Guo surnames in the western countries, the eastern countries and the southern countries, and in the northern countries (Guo Xu and Guo Xu), but Guo surnames after Guo surnames are the largest and most important tribe of the Guo family in China.
