This evil karma is boundless. If you think about your mistakes over and over again, you can guarantee that you will never find them in your life. Confession is not quiet. Why? Could not find the core. It's very clear in the classic. What is confession? But we know where our bad karma comes from. It is greed and ignorance. Because of this greed and ignorance, all kinds of bad karma are driven by body and mind. This kind of bad karma is immeasurable. If we want to find them one by one, we will be in big trouble. "The Original Wishing Sutra of Tibetan Bodhisattva" says: It is a sin to start thinking. I can't find this at all. Can you find this life, can you find your last life?

Repentance means confessing your greed and ignorance, confessing your greed and ignorance. This can be used for three generations, covering body, mouth and heart. Why does the classic say, "Today I know three things to clean ..."? Why did you confess all this? Because these are the body, language and mind of greed and ignorance, I repent together. Admit that this greed and ignorance have harmed themselves and others. Today, I realized that I don't want this greed and ignorance. I will stay away from it in the future, and I will always lead an honest and clean life. This is the core of confession, and only in this way can confession be purified.

If we usually repent, it's just, ah, I made a mistake in this matter, and I won't do it again. I did something wrong, so I repent and repent. Not much help. Because it doesn't touch the core of confession. If you can repent like this in the future, well, you still have grievances when you speak in the morning. There was greed in your heart just now. You can ignore what it is, maybe you don't remember anything. But your confession is getting cleaner.

It is a shame to think about your mistakes repeatedly. Sorry, sorry. This is not a confession. Everyone regrets many things every day. That's not confession. It's not the confession taught in Pu Xian's will. And the consequence of doing so is to increase your guilt.

Why? Because you are insatiable and have no regrets, there will be new problems after the problems appear. For example, if I commit adultery, I will be afraid, afraid, and afraid of the consequences. Then I have to find a way to recite Buddha and put an end to evil. Greed! Why can't I quit? Be angry with yourself and compete with yourself. This is anger. This greed is like a big net. If you can't find the root, you will get stuck in it.

There is a story in Vimalakīrti Classic: Two monks are obsessed with the past, ashamed of breaking the law and afraid to ask the Buddha. They came to me and said, "It's just that you are better than Li Bo!" We are ashamed of breaking the law, afraid to ask the Buddha, and willing to dispel doubts and regret, so we can avoid disasters! "I interpret it as law; When Vimalakīrti came to me, he said, "Only you are better than me! The sins of the two monks have not increased! When it is eliminated, don't disturb its heart. So what? Innocent inside, innocent outside, innocent in the middle, just like the Buddha said. Heart, so all living things are dirty, and the heart is clean, so all living things are clean. The heart is not inside, not outside, not in the middle, such as its leisurely, sin and filth, and all laws are not the same. If you leave the waves, would you rather have dirt when you get rid of the waves with your heart? I said, "No." Vimalakīrti said: "All sentient beings are pure-hearted, and so are they. Wei, you glass! Delusion is dirt, and no delusion is net; Rebellion is pollution, and no rebellion is net; Treat me like dirt, but don't treat me like a net. Youboli! All laws can't survive, such as magic and electricity. They don't treat each other or even remember. All dharmas are illusory, like dreams, like flames, like the moon in the water, like images in the mirror, living in delusion. People who know this are in the name of the law; Anyone who knows this is well known.

It is said that two monks broke the precepts and thought it was a disgrace. Dare not ask Buddha. So I went to ask the Buddha disciple you Boli. The two monks said, "We are ashamed of breaking the precepts and dare not ask the Buddha. May you help us to dispel doubts and avoid this mistake. " . You see, it is said that these two disciples are deeply ashamed. I think I've confessed. Then you explain it to Boli. It is interpreted as law. That is, this commandment cannot be broken because of any harm. What's the problem? What does the commandment say? According to the Buddha. But the layman in Vimalakīrti saw it.

The monk's first sentence was: Don't add any more guilt to these two monks. Everyone will pay attention to this. Youbury can be interpreted as law. Supposedly, there is nothing wrong. But Vimalakīrti said he was adding to others' sins.

Why? Next, Vimalakīrti said: You should directly eliminate their sins and don't disturb their hearts. This sin has no body. Is this consistent with A Wish of Pu Xian? Exactly the same. In Pu Xian's Last Will, it is said that this evil deed is intolerable to the void world if it has the appearance of the flesh. How can you repent of such bad karma one by one?

Then Vimalakīrti, a layman, said: Heart, so all living beings are dirty, and the heart is clean, so all living beings are clean. Why do we commit karma? Why do we have karma? In a word, dirty heart. There are delusions and persistence, greed and ignorance. If we are familiar with classics, we will find that so many classics have been turned over and turned over, that is, just a few things. No heart scale is natural and clean. Buddhists then asked: If our hearts are liberated, will we still feel guilty? You Boli replied, no.

Vimalakīrti, a layman, went on to say: All sentient beings have no dirt in their hearts. There are delusions, inversions and self-persistence. This is dirt. No, it is clean. All laws are born without life, just like magic lightning, the moon in the water, flowers in the mirror and dreams, all of which are born of delusion. Knowing this is the real subject, and knowing this is the real good knowledge.

Is this consistent with the focus of Pu Xian's wish? Exactly the same. How to confess? Know that the root of the problem is greed, ignorance and rebellion. Admit this and regret it. It's not that you did something wrong yesterday and regretted it for a long time. That's not repentance. What you have to confess is, why do you have this thing? What were you thinking at that time, and I did it? It's greed, it's resentment. Without these, you can rest assured that what you have done is absolutely right. There is great merit in doing everything.

This is a real study of Buddhism. This kind of confession is very strict and is by no means a mantra. Don't say my heart is clean when I see hairy crabs. It doesn't matter if I eat them. Think about whether your mouth is watering. Is that greed? Can you put it down if you don't eat? Do you feel itchy?

Regret doesn't mean, ah, I couldn't eat hairy crabs last time. I won't eat any more. Look at the roots. Or you can't help eating next time. See why you eat, where did you get this, where did you get this greed? Can you find it? For this kind of greed, whether you are serious or not, you think it is not a dream, not a hidden mirror. If you think it's true. Confess from here. Confess this greed and ignorance. This confession should be made anytime, anywhere and never give up.
