There is such an education and memory expert who has deeply moved thousands of parents with his microphone and sweat and helped them re-establish correct concepts of education for their children. He once waved to 8,000 people. Khan's speech, he has changed the learning methods of tens of thousands of children and improved their performance. His name is Chen Guang, the founder of "Chen Guang Memory" and he is from Taiwan. In April, Mr. Chen Guang was invited by Beijing Hengzhi Weiye Cultural Development Co., Ltd. to give a month-long speech and exchange in Beijing. Today, the Beijing Evening News conducted an exclusive interview with Mr. Chen Guang on this rare visit to the mainland.
Question: I heard that this is your first speech and exchange in mainland China, and you have held two large-scale personal speeches at Peking University and Tsinghua University. How was the audience's response?
Chen Guang: My college friends from Peking University and Tsinghua University are very enthusiastic and like me very much. This visit to Beijing is my first time giving a personal lecture in mainland China. My first choices for speeches were Peking University and Tsinghua University. I know that these two universities are the two best schools in the Chinese world. In Taiwan, my lectures were very enthusiastic. Before giving my speech at Peking University, I was a little worried that I would not be able to communicate enthusiastically with the audience. However, as soon as the lecture on the 11th started, I found that my worries were unnecessary. The students at Peking University were very enthusiastic. They listened to my speech attentively. When I talked about the wonderful points, they could give warm applause. Did you know that as soon as the lecture ended, nearly a hundred Peking University students surrounded me and asked me all kinds of questions. The same is true for the speech at Tsinghua University. There were too many students here, many of whom could not sit down and had to stand, and some who sat on the floor. The college students loved me, and I was grateful and happy.
Question: Your speech was very successful and attracted widespread attention. Can you talk about what knowledge you shared with the audience at the scene?
Chen Guang: Use methods to change the brain and use the brain to create miracles. That's right, students and friends are more concerned about how to memorize quickly and how to achieve success. I have some experience with both. Friends from Peking University and Tsinghua University are particularly concerned about how to memorize words. They are very practical because they have to cope with various English exams and many jobs also require a basic English foundation. Learning languages ??especially requires good memory skills, so they were concerned about my approach. "Chen Guang Memory" has achieved very good results in Taiwan. We have broken through the traditional memory methods and achieved logical communication between the left brain and the right brain. I dare say that normal people will increase their memory speed by 10-100 times by applying my memory method. times. A person who has not been trained in memory logic is very good if he can memorize dozens of English words in one hour. One of my students can memorize 400 words in one hour. Of course, this requires one or two months. This can only be achieved through systematic training. The brain is the same as the body. Everyone can change the brain as long as they use the correct method. At the scene, I interacted with college students about the principles and methods of word memory, and got their approval. But unfortunately, the time is relatively short and I cannot finish the entire training process in one go.
In addition, college students are a group that is about to enter society. While they face opportunities, they will also bear various pressures. For them, achieving success in career and life has become a very practical problem. I think it is really necessary to accept the guidance of orthodox success science or spiritual strength science at the university level. Only by establishing your life goals early can you make a difference. Maybe everyone who has just stepped out of school is at the same level, but whether they can succeed depends on everyone's awareness and methods. When I gave lectures at Peking University and Tsinghua University, I told everyone a lot about the principles of success, and they liked it very much. For example, how to set life goals, how to conduct personal management, how to release potential, etc.
Many people are often born with talents and grow old with talents. They don't know how to use their brains to create miracles. Isn't this sad?
Question: As an educationist, what do you think of the education situation in mainland China and Taiwan?
Chen Guang: Educational innovation really can’t wait any longer! During my month in Beijing, in addition to giving two lectures at Peking University and Tsinghua University, I was also invited to give lectures at Beijing Yuying School, 18 Middle School, 161 Middle School and other schools. Next, I will go to 35 Middle School and 101 Middle School. , Beijing Normal University Experimental Middle School and other schools gave speeches. In the process of communicating with these schools, the feedback given to me is that children in mainland China and Taiwan are under great pressure. As educators, we have a heavy responsibility, but the situation is not optimistic.
There are too many cram schools in Taiwan, and they are all overcrowded. Children are having a hard time trying to get into key schools. Children in Beijing are similar. I heard them say that they have to study late every day and attend various classes on weekends. A very important thing is that "pain" and "effort" are different concepts, and we must distinguish them clearly. If children learn in pain, our education is incorrect. Successful education should inspire children to study hard and learn happily.
The purpose of my promotion of "Chen Guang Memory" in Taiwan is to allow children to save more time in memorizing knowledge and information, and to use the saved time to do what they want to do, such as creating etc. It made it a lot easier for them and I was very pleased. Educators should find ways to provide children with good learning methods and at the same time stimulate their interest in learning. The information age requires us to hurry up and innovate in education. We really can’t wait any longer!
Question: I heard that the memory courses you taught in Taiwan were very influential. I wonder if you taught your courses in Beijing. What do you think?
Chen Guang: The happiest thing is when education is effective. Yes, there are many people learning "Chen Guang Memory" all over Taiwan, from students to teachers. I also conducted a five-day short-term training for a dozen children in mainland China, and achieved relatively satisfactory results. The "Chen Guang Memory" course is applicable in Taiwan as well as in mainland China.
I have taught tens of thousands of children in Taiwan, and most of them have made rapid progress, and some children's memory has become very amazing. There is a primary school student who can even memorize criminal law backwards after learning "Chen Guang Memory"; there are many students who were originally lagging behind and can jump from the bottom to the top of their grades after learning the memory course; there are also some students who are approaching the college entrance examination and have learned to memorize. Within a few months after taking the course, I was admitted to an ideal university that I had never dreamed of. I not only want to improve children's memory skills, but more importantly, increase their interest in learning and help them build confidence.
After I came to mainland China this month, at the invitation of Hengzhi Weiye Cultural Development Company, I tentatively taught more than a dozen children in Beijing. Of course, there are difficulties. For example, on the first day of class, parents all thought that "Chen Guang Memory" was very questionable. However, on the second day, parents were very active in sending their children because their children finished the first class. After just one day of class, I was able to easily write down 60 things and perform them for my parents, with good results. What impressed me deeply was the parent of a first-year junior high school student. Later, when I went to Peking University, Tsinghua University and other schools to give charity lectures, the couple took the initiative to take their children to listen. I am very grateful for their efforts. Only good parents and good methods can raise good children. The truth is that simple.
Although they encountered some difficulties, after seeing these dozen children learn "Chen Guang Memory", they no longer have any fear of learning, and their personalities have become bright and confident. The first promotion of "Chen Guang Memory" in mainland China has been recognized and achieved results. I am very, very happy.
Question: Why can your memory method have such immediate results, allowing children to make such great progress in a short period of time? Can you give us a brief introduction?
Chen Guang: Memory is the cornerstone of learning, and logic is the key to improving memory ability. OK I mainly help them learn how to make their brains more organized and use logic to remember. You know, the human brain is divided into left brain and right brain. The left brain is in charge of logic and the right brain is in charge of memory. But when we remember, we rarely open up the dialogue between the left brain and the right brain well.
Some children just memorize things, and the logic of their left brain doesn't work at all, which results in low efficiency. There are also some very smart children with strong logical abilities, but the right side of their brain is dead and cannot be used at all. What they remember cannot enter long-term memory and is quickly forgotten. I just help them restore the dialogue between their left and right brains and form effective, long-term memories.
Question: Why do you only accept children in Taiwan and not teach adults?
Chen Guang: That’s right, children are our future. Scientific research shows that the number of synapses on which a person's left and right brain waves communicate reaches a peak when a child is four years old, then begins to decrease, and then stabilizes after the age of fifteen. Then I only teach children before the age of fifteen, because their number of synapses has not yet stabilized. After learning, they can be exercised, their memory and logical thinking abilities will be amazingly improved, and they will achieve immeasurable achievements in the future. My time is limited, I want to devote all my time to the education of my children. As for adults, I hope they can learn from our children and see how awesome our children are. This is also a parent-child education, a process of communication between our parents and their children.
Q: Let me take the liberty of asking. I heard that you were determined to pursue education because of your sister’s suicide?
Chen Guang: My sister showed me the way - I want to change the way Chinese people around the world learn! Yes. I will always remember that when I was a junior in college, one night, around four o'clock, there was a loud "crash" and my sister jumped from the 11th floor, easily ending her life. I can still recite the suicide note she wrote before jumping off the building. She left me because she was under too much pressure to study. From that night, I was destined to embark on the path of social education. I set my life goal three years ago - I want to change the way Chinese people around the world learn!
I entered the education system and came into contact with a group of lovely children. I discovered their innocence and helplessness, and even more shocked that they needed guidance. In today's society with information explosion, children need to master too much knowledge and are under too much pressure. At a young age, they will suffer from lack of self-confidence, depression and other problems. I decided to say to them what I had no time to say to my sister.
I have been to many places in the past few years, in the corporate world, in school, and even in cram schools. I am trying to reform education through private, government and other mechanisms and tell the public something that people should know. Until now, I have joined radio and television stations, and as a host, I can share everything I can with all the friends who need it.
Question: There have been a lot of cultural exchanges between Taiwan and mainland China recently. What do you think of this phenomenon?
Chen Guang: I have imprinted the "Constitution of the Communist Party of China" in my brain. In fact, cultural exchanges are the "catalyst" for cross-strait reunification. Some scholars in Taiwan, like Li Ao and I, very earnestly hope to have more exchanges with cultural institutions in the mainland. I think the same is true for scholars in the mainland. I sincerely hope that cross-Strait cultural and educational exchange activities can receive full support from the government and be carried out in a long-term and extensive manner. Through cultural exchanges, the two sides can understand each other and enhance their feelings, which will certainly promote the reunification of the two sides of the Taiwan Strait.
You know, during these two weeks of visiting the mainland, I have imprinted the "Chapter of the Communist Party of China" in my brain. You know how much I look forward to the moment of the reunification of the motherland. arrival. As an educator, I will unreservedly dedicate all my skills and techniques to the children in mainland China. During my stay in Beijing, my speeches received widespread attention and enthusiastic responses from the public. I specially arranged my last public speech on the evening of April 22nd, at Beijing Yuying School. I hope that all people who care about education and children will Parents of all come and listen, it will be helpful to everyone.
Related information 2: Change the method and change the destiny of the child's life: "Be careful of breaking a hole in the brain"
Parents who never know how to educate their children are always at a loss and use all possible means to educate their children. This method had little effect. Children study hard, but their results are far from ideal; and parents’ desire for success often makes children rebellious. The new book "Beware of a Hole in the Brain" by Mr. Chen Guang, a Taiwanese educator, opens a window for us to see a whole scene. It may help parents and friends get enlightenment and find the correct method of parent-child education.
Using stories to inspire readers has always been the style of Taiwanese writers. The book "Beware of a Hole in the Brain" contains many stories and Mr. Chen Guang's personal experience, which warms the hearts of every reader. One of my favorite stories and explanations in the book is this:
There is a family living on the mountainside. One day, a child took a bucket to the foot of the mountain to fetch water for his family. The child worked hard to get water from the river and returned home carrying the heavy bucket. When he looked around, he found that there wasn't even a drop of water in the bucket.
The next day, the child took the bucket to the river to get water. After struggling to carry the heavy and full bucket, I returned to the mountain and saw that all the water was gone again. This time the mother was angry, holding a bucket, and asked the child not to rest at night: "Go and fetch water! If you are lazy, you will be responsible for yourself if you die of thirst in the future!"
Late at night, the child came back again carrying a bucket. , there is still not a drop of water in the bucket. When the mother saw this, she became furious. She thought the child was not trying hard enough, so she whipped the child with a cane.
The child cried innocently. In fact, the child is not lazy or not working hard, but there is a small crack under the bucket! The child worked hard to climb the mountain road, but the water quietly drained away on the way home.
I am touched every time I read this story. Is it true? Isn’t this phenomenon just like children studying? Students in the sixth grade of primary school go to school every day. Although they pay attention to the class, they forget it when it comes to the exam. For this reason, parents require their children to carry heavy schoolbags to cram schools at night, but they never thought that their children lack memory methods and the lack of functions is like a big hole in their brains. No matter how hard a child tries, after a while everything they have learned is forgotten. As for the students at the school, the holes were even bigger. Every day, children carry holes in their brains to and from school and cram schools. No matter how hard they try, they still cannot escape the suspicion and censure of their parents. High school students are as hole-in-the-wall as a broken bucket, with no bottom left! No matter how much you cram in, it's just like filling a bottomless bucket with water. No wonder the more supplementary education, the worse the students’ grades and the stronger their rebelliousness.
Poor parents in the world, what is the correct education method? Mr. Chen Guang gave us the answer in the book. In the "Tips for Parents and Children", Chen Guang told children not to be let down, to take the initiative in learning, to set life goals early, and so on. Parents are also told to help their children "deal with" problems rather than "punish" them...
