This is the situation of ordinary people in the cycle of life and death.
If we get rid of this bad habit and switch to "giving all the good things to others and keeping all the bad things to ourselves", this will greatly change our lives.
First of all, if you can take the initiative to bear the pain of others and reduce your over-protection and cherishment of yourself, you can gradually reduce your greed for yourself and completely destroy your ego.
Secondly, all living beings are our best field of blessing. If we sow the seeds of good fortune in one person's field of blessing, we will reap one person's blessings in the future; if we sow the seeds of good fortune in the fields of blessing of tens of thousands of people, we will reap the rewards of tens of thousands of people in the future. The happiness we bring. On the contrary, if we create trouble for one person, that person will cause trouble for us in the future; if we create pain for tens of millions of people, tens of millions of people will create pain for us in the future. This is the principle that good will be rewarded with good and evil will be rewarded with evil. Therefore, only by dedicating benefits to others can one's own life be happy.
Now that we understand this principle from Buddhism, we must change our previous bad habits. Maybe we will be a little powerless at the beginning. Our dedication and care for others are fake, but our love for ourselves is genuine. However, as long as we persist in training, our care for others will become more and more real. Gradually, self-grasping will be reduced, selfishness will be eliminated, worries will no longer be as powerful as before, and the Bodhisattva spirit of self-sacrifice will eventually take root in our hearts. As a result, our lives will become happier and more enjoyable, and our careers will become smoother and more complete.
