Guitar, the most important thing is wood. It can be judged by the color and texture of wood. The wood commonly used to make the piano body is probably Fraxinus mandshurica, Alnus cremastogyne, mahogany, basswood, maple and so on. The gray tone is clear and bright, generally light brown, with deep and large lines. Usually not too heavy. For example, the FENDER Stratocaster and Telecaster models. Alnus cremastogyne is lighter than Fraxinus mandshurica, with rich timbre and good * * * sound in middle and low frequencies. It is also light brown with fine lines. The wood used in the neck of the piano has the same effect on the timbre. But because the neck of the piano also bears the tension of the strings, maple and mahogany are commonly used in wood. Because these two kinds of wood are not easy to deform, they can bear the tension of strings to a greater extent. Maple, in particular, is most commonly used to make necks. The advantage of mahogany is that it is not easy to twist, so some fenders have mahogany at the back of maple neck to strengthen the neck. This kind of neck is also called "skunk stripe", which is very interesting. The common fender is generally maple neck, and Gibson often uses mahogany neck. On the neck of the piano, there is a thin layer of sawdust called fingerboard (some pianos are made of the same piece of wood called one piece).
