Once the shortest border in China is opened, it will become the richest border in the future. The northwest border of China is 92.5 kilometers long, bordering Afghanistan in the west and China in the east. Because this border line is very short, many people mistakenly think that China and Afghanistan are not bordered. In fact, China-Arab border is a long and narrow strategic corridor, which is the famous Wakhan Corridor. The total length of the Wakhan Corridor is about 400km, of which 300km belongs to Afghanistan and100km belongs to Wuhan, China. The narrowest part of the corridor from north to south is only 15km, with a total area of over 60,000km2 and a total population of over 12000. The Wakhan Corridor between China and Afghanistan is connected by a 92.5-kilometer-long border, which is also the shortest border in China.

The geographical location of the Wakhan Corridor is extremely special. It is located at the junction of Kunlun Mountain, Karakorum Mountain and Hindu Kush Mountain in Pamir Plateau. The average elevation of the corridor is four or five kilometers, and the surrounding mountains are covered with snow all year round. However, the valley in the mountains is one of the most convenient landing passages for China to Central Asia, West Asia, South Asia and Europe, and its strategic value is very high. Master Xuanzang once went to Tianzhu to worship Buddha. Nearby, it is also the traffic artery of the ancient Silk Road in China. The Wakhan Corridor is not only located at the intersection of mountainous areas, but also at the intersection of the four countries. Except China in the east, Afghanistan in the west, Tajikistan in Central Asia in the north and Pakistan in South Asia in the south. The Wakhan Corridor, like a long arm, spans hundreds of kilometers and finally borders China.

Why did the doll wolf form such a strange boundary? In fact, it was once the territory of the Qing Dynasty in history. With the decline of national power in the late Qing Dynasty, at the end of 19, the Russian empire expanded rapidly to the south, and British forces also took the opportunity to expand northward. Finally, the two empires met in Afghanistan. Since then, the two countries have been constantly competing in Afghanistan, and both want to take the lead in annexing Afghanistan, but neither can conquer the other. Just as the two countries were deadlocked, the Russian Empire broke out with Osman and Turkey on the European battlefield, and Britain also broke out with Sudan on the African battlefield. Therefore, in order not to continue to consume national strength in Afghanistan, 1895, Britain and Russia allocated most of the Wakhan Corridor to Afghanistan without notifying the Qing government, as a buffer for the two countries and for later planning. Every cloud in Afghanistan has a silver lining. The world forms today's boundary line. Although the geographical environment in Afghanistan is very poor, the geographical position is very good. Located at the intersection of Central Asia, East Asia, South Asia and West Asia, it has always been the frontier for external forces to compete for Asia.

In the past 200 years, Afghanistan has been in a state of war for most of the time, and as the website corridor with the worst geographical environment in the country, they are unable to manage and build it, so the border has not been opened to China for most of the time. Then why does the border between China and Egypt become the richest once it is opened? On the surface, the whole geographical environment of Afghanistan is bare and there is nothing special about it. However, it is such a harsh geographical environment that makes the metallogenic conditions in Afghanistan very good. There are very rich mineral resources underground, most of which have not yet been developed. The most important are copper ore, lithium ore and rare earth ore. As early as 2008, China signed an agreement with Afghanistan to jointly develop Aynak copper mine, a giant copper mine in Afghanistan, with a reserve of about 700 million tons, equivalent to 1/3 of that of China. Then, Afghanistan found another box with a reserve of up to one billion tons, and its economic value was incalculable.

As many people know, China has the largest rare earth reserves in the world. In fact, Afghanistan is also a big country with rare earths, and their rare earths are as precious as those in China. Rare earths are widely used in the manufacture of various cutting-edge industrial products, which can maximize the performance of products. Compared with copper mines and rare earth mines, lithium mines in Afghanistan are even worse. Now great changes are taking place in the field of automobile manufacturing, and new energy vehicles are also accelerating to replace fuel vehicles. The most important component of new energy vehicle is lithium battery, and lithium mine is a very rare strategic resource. At present, the largest lithium mine in the world is located in Bolivia, but the scale of lithium mine found in Afghanistan is not inferior.

As a big producer of new energy vehicles, China has a great demand for lithium ore. As a neighbor of China, Afghanistan cannot develop its own resources without the technical help of China. Once the two countries cooperate to develop lithium ore, China will not have to look for other countries to import lithium ore. The value of gold and lithium resources in Afghanistan exceeds one trillion US dollars, while the gross domestic product of 97 countries in the world currently exceeds one trillion US dollars. If China and Arab countries want to cooperate more smoothly, they must open the border between the two countries and get through the transportation channel of the Wakhan Corridor. The next generation of Afghan stability will cooperate with China, so trillions of dollars will be active on this border with only over 90 kilometers, and it is not impossible for it to become the most prosperous and richest border in China in the future.
