Formation of Pingtan Island Landform

Tides rise and fall, and things change. This seemingly ruthless sea breeze and wave erosion, but like a sculptor's hand, carefully carved a fairy mountain-like Pingtan on the sea.

Lin Sen is a persistent photographer, and he has deep feelings for Pingtan.

Interview: Photography enthusiast Lin Sen

I have been to Pingtan seaside many times, and I have made new discoveries every time. The scenery of Pingtan seaside is very strange. I took a group of photos of Pingtan seaside, and spent two or three years before and after, and participated in the selection of outstanding photographers in the national Kodak Cup, and was named the top ten photographers. That group of works were shot in different seasons and at different times, some in sunny days, some in dusk, some in the early morning, and different times have different feelings when watching the sea.

Pingtan consists of 126 Okojima reefs. The main island is Haitan Island. According to experts' research, Haitan Island rose from the bottom of the sea to become an island in tens of millions of years. Now, in the Nanzhai mountain forest on the island, the scene of the underwater world is still faintly visible.

These blocks of rocks with strange shapes are all from the ingenuity of nature, primitive and quaint, and wild and natural. When you come here, you can use your imagination. Some people say that this is the Monkey King, which is somewhat similar; Some people regard it as an alien, which is also very creative.

This is a question that different people have different opinions. Perhaps this process of trying to figure out is also a pleasure.

Standing at the northwest end of Haitan Island, looking into the sea in the distance, you can see a big stone in the shape of a disk, holding two pillars in the shape of a monument, one high and one low. It is 30 meters high and 17 meters low, just like a big ship with double sails, sailing in the wind and waves.

Looking at the semi-sail from different directions, the shape is different. But what people like best is to board the sail and sail with it. In the photographer's eyes, the semi-sail in different seasons and under different lights exudes different charm. It is also a marine erosion landform, but it is displayed in a completely different form on the beach far from the semi-sail.

There are many kinds of landscapes formed by marine erosion landforms in Pingtan Island. For example, this kind of natural wind fossil egg called spherical concentric circles is mainly formed by wind and waves. After the wind and waves were driven to this harbor, they rotated repeatedly. After a long time, we gradually formed this very strange terrain. The maximum number of turns can reach 18, and the minimum number can reach three or five turns, and the distance between each turn is very symmetrical, and it peels off like an egg shell.

The 50-kilometer-long beach is another gift from nature to Pingtan. The sand here is white and delicate, and the beach fluctuates gently. Summer evening, the sea is so quiet and soft, it is the best time to enjoy the sea bath.

Children always have fun, and brave people are more willing to accept the challenge of the waves. People always find their happiness here.

Tannan Bay was chosen as the training base of Fuzhou windsurfing team because of its unique geographical conditions. Knowing that Fujian windsurfing competition will be held here soon, Lin Sen came here with his camera on his back. We expect his lens to capture more wonderful moments.
