How to practice not lying?

How should we uphold the precept not to lie?

1. Right speech counteracts lies. Speak the right words at all times and don't lie.

2. Treat the two tongues with a straight mind. Sincerity is a dojo, and I am very cautious in what I say. I only talk about my own personal experience, or what I really understand thoroughly, and I will not talk nonsense based on half-knowledge.

3. Use loving words to counter harsh words. When you are alone in this world, no matter what you do, you will never be able to satisfy everyone.
