Fifteen years of living in Canada.

There are more and more people going to Canada now, either studying abroad or immigrating. So, what can Canada really bring to immigrants? Listen to the story shared by this immigrant who has lived in Canada for 15 years. Maybe his past experiences and feelings will give you some inspiration when you are in the stage of choosing immigrants. Everyone has his own story. After reading some refluxed posts, I think the most important thing is mentality. Let me tell my own story, after all, I have had the idea of backflow before. Please forgive my poor writing. After all, I only go abroad for junior high school+scum.

200 1: Just arrived in Canada.

I went to a boarding school in Ottawa. I was only 16 years old. There are students from Chinese mainland, Hongkong and Taiwan Province Province, as well as Korean, Japanese and African countries. I went to a very good high school. The dormitory is in the teaching building, and the scale is not large, about 40-50 boys (girls are in single-family houses). At that time, although I began to read English in the third grade in China, I found that all the English I read in China was useless after I came.

I know that the only way to learn English is to communicate with foreigners. I started chatting with them. At first, when I said something wrong, they thought it was very interesting. They often played jokes on me. For example, tell me that FAG means cool? Of course, I will be shy, but I will only laugh together and laugh together.

After a few weeks, they began to help me correct my English, introduce various characteristics of Canada, take me to the supermarket, teach me how to take the bus, introduce me to ice hockey and snowboarding, and take me shopping together. A few months later, my best friends were three black people, two from Africa and one from Malaysia. We play basketball together almost every day and go to the supermarket near our school to buy fried chicken wings on weekends.

I enjoyed my first year here and didn't get rejected as many people said. After a semester, my English is basically fine. Go out and solve everything by yourself. Make a crime, get an American visa, send a suitcase to purelator for moving, and open an account in the bank? My parents divorced in early 2002, and I was very sad. Because the tuition was too expensive, I later moved to a small town in Alberta.

2002-04: Came to the so-called countryside.

The school is a Christian boarding school, in a small town 20 minutes away from Red Deer. Since there is basically no problem with English, it is more convenient to communicate. Many of my classmates come from peasant families and are very polite, except for two who are a little racist. Within a few months, I became one with my classmates, and my best friends were all white. There is also an Asian circle in the dormitory. After mixing with white people for a long time, I feel that no one actually rejects them, but they isolate themselves from others. These two years have been very happy, and high school life is very comfortable. During the holiday, my friends and I went to their farm to play, driving snowmobiles for the first time, milking cows for the first time, hunting for the first time and going to a concert for the first time.

04: Graduated.

In the yearbook, many people wrote that you are the only China person I really know. When I was with my white classmates, I didn't forget that I came from China. I often tell them about China's situation and deeds, which makes them dumbfounded. During the period, I passed my classmates and met some older white friends who were studying in college. I have a very good relationship with an American girl, and basically regard each other as brothers and sisters. I went to her house to play games with her roommate and boyfriend on weekends, and basically moved to her and her boyfriend in the summer after graduation.

05-07

I won't say any more. The family situation has changed. In 2007, I moved to Ka and went to college.

I had several jobs when I was in college.

But it was clear at that time that I had to find a job linked to my undergraduate course. After getting to know a senior who worked in the IT department of the school at that time, he naturally joined IT as a laboratory assistant. When I was in college, some friends came from the Caribbean island and were very friendly. He is also the kind of person who drinks and plays online games together on weekends. I graduated on 10, but I didn't get my graduation work visa until 1 1 month.

1 1 year: After returning to China in the Spring Festival at the beginning of the year, I signed back to Ka City with my job in March.

Because I have done IT support and I like it, I started looking for IT support when I applied for a job. After looking for a part-time job in GAP for several weeks, I suddenly got a call from a headhunting company and asked me to interview for a position in an energy company. Because I have two years of working experience in school, I got the job smoothly, and my salary was 5 thousand higher than I expected. About 165438+ 10, I was forced to quit my job due to internal problems in the company. Go to the Bank of Canada through friends to be a small IT support department. Although the company is small, it involves many aspects and I have learned a lot myself.

12- Now

Colleagues had dinner in the middle of the year and learned that the former manager had been hired to work in an oil company, and now he is recruiting people. My salary is twice what I am now. After thinking for a few days, decisively FACEBOOK contacted the manager. The coffee shop near the company was dug up to the present company. Now I have bought a car and a house in this company and am ready to die here. I thought about returning to China in 2003, but I thought about it for a long time, and I stayed for the future development of my children. In the long run, the psychological and physical growth of Canadian children is incomparable in China.

Let's sum up

In Canada, how you treat others will be treated by others. People need communication. If you don't communicate with others, others have no obligation to smile at you every day. Sometimes, if you feel excluded, don't always blame others. There must be something wrong with you. Most Canadians are very friendly. Go to other people's homes, do as the Romans do. When in Rome, do as the Romans do is not to teach you to forget your country and nation. You just need to follow other people's rules and respect other people's culture and traditions.

China people who are still studying, don't patronize and go back to China in summer, but eat delicious food. Think about the purpose of your coming here, bite the bullet and get a job. When you are new here, don't complain every day, try to integrate into the outside world and enjoy other kinds of fun. In short, hard-working people will be rewarded in Canada.
