Summer job: Have college students just become cheap labor?

I was very tired after working in the shop for a few days. I have to stand for ten hours every day to collect money and change money to make bills. My legs are numb after work at nine o'clock every night, which is far less comfortable than playing mobile phone and watching TV series at home. And boring. It is boring to repeat monotonous and unskilled behavior all day, which is far less exciting than traveling. The direct motivation of many college students to take summer jobs is to make money, but as we all know, the salary of summer jobs is very low, so many people think that summer jobs only make college students become cheap labor. There is even a question: did you study hard in junior high school and senior high school, experienced the thrilling entrance examination for the senior high school entrance examination, and spent so many years of expensive tuition just to come to the university to sell your physical strength?

But does summer job really just make college students become cheap labor?

I want to talk about my experience and feelings.

I am now in the summer vacation after my freshman year, working as a summer worker in a store, helping cashier to make bills, and also helping with other chores, such as packing takeout, replenishing drinks in the refrigerator, grinding bean paste and so on. Although tired and bored, I really don't regret it at all. I even regret why I didn't come out to work during the winter vacation of my freshman year, but went home early to sleep and play with my mobile phone during the winter vacation, which wasted a student holiday!

In my opinion, there are many advantages for college students to work in summer vacation, and making money is only a small part of it.

When I reflect on the benefits of my work and life in the past week, I immediately think of responsibility. Whether we are students or not, since we are now in the position of waiter, I have the responsibility of waiter.

I was once scolded by an aunt who had worked for a long time: when the takeaway list came out that day, I told the noodle chef once as before. There were many people and people ordering food that day, and the environment was noisy. She may not have heard it. They didn't make noodles until the delivery man came. After a while, my aunt came over angrily and took my arm, saying that this takeaway list should be said earlier next time.

I was full of grievances and scolded her a thousand times in my heart. I talked about many valid reasons, but I didn't say a word.

This is my responsibility, as a waiter's responsibility. I should not only remind them, but also make sure that they know.

Many times, it's not enough to just do your own thing. Many things in society can't be done by one person, and the group is not a clear part. We are a team, and everyone in the team has the responsibility to do things badly!

My aunts' attitude towards me is quite different from my boss's. Take the above things for example. At that time, my aunt had just finished her angry lecture in front of me, and the boss standing by loudly said that she had said it several times, but you didn't hear her. Aunt's momentum immediately drained down and passed with an embarrassed smile. I have been working for a week today, and this has happened many times. I used to feel wronged and unfair every time. I will vilify them countless times in my mind, but now I just reflect on whether I can do better.

There is a saying: don't bully the young and poor. I think the reason why this sentence is widely circulated is probably that this society bullies poor young people!

But now I think this place not only bullies poor young people, but also bullies all our shortcomings such as inexperience and relative ignorance. They won't be tolerant of us just because we are students. This place doesn't blink when waving a butcher knife.

But I'm not here to complain about this society. I'm talking about recognizing this society.

This is a place where the law of the jungle prevails and the fittest survive. What kind of life we want to live, we have to pay the corresponding price, time or energy.

Although this place is not fair, it is relatively fair, provided that you have enough ability. When you are irreplaceable, you have the capital to challenge.

As I mentioned earlier, making money may be the direct motivation for many college students to work, which is not a bad thing if they can spend the money they earn. Spend your own money, eat, buy clothes or play, travel, will be very hearty.

Furthermore, I can understand the difficulties of parents. We won't take for granted the living expenses given by your parents. The famous brand you bought, the room you rented in the all-night Internet cafe, and your so-called travel around the country are all sacrifices made by their monotonous life day after day!
