Zhou Yu's Poems in Sun Ce

This is about Battle of Red Cliffs, a classic in the history of China. The two main characters in this poem are Zhou Yu and Cao Cao. Battle of Red Cliffs is a famous war example in China, and Battle of Red Cliffs laid the rudiment of tripartite confrontation.

"Dongfeng is not with Zhou Lang, and Tongque Chunsuo Er Qiao." The latter two famous sayings mean that if there were no Dongfeng to help Zhou Yu, Cao Cao would have caught Er Qiao of Wu Dong in Tongquetai.

Er Qiao here is a pair of sisters, that is, the big and small Qiao in Jiangdong. It is said that Cao Cao launched Battle of Red Cliffs to snatch these two beautiful women and take them for himself. Da Qiao married Sun Ce and Xiao Qiao married Zhou Yu, both of whom were great men of Soochow.

Xiao Qiao and Zhou Yu got married 12 years. Xiao Qiao and Zhou Lang are the most suitable couple among the three countries. However, Da Qiao's marriage is not satisfactory. Sun Ce was seriously injured while hunting. Da Qiao guarded his clothes day and night, but Sun Ce died in vain.

Extended data:

During the Three Kingdoms period, after Cao Cao captured Jingzhou, he wanted to attack Wu Dong, so he wrote a letter to Sun Quan, saying that he would lead 800,000 soldiers to pacify Wu Dong and threaten Sun Quan.

In December of the 13th year of Jian 'an (AD 208), Zhou Yu led a great army against the current to Chibi, where he met Cao Jun who was crossing the river. Cao Jun has been infected by the plague.

However, the newly compiled water army and the newly attached Jingzhou water army did not run in well, and their morale was obviously insufficient. The first battle was defeated by Zhou Yu's water army. Although Cao Cao had to return the water army to Jiangbei Wulin and join his own infantry, his power was still much stronger than Zhou Yu's.

Zhou Yu took Huang Gai's advice, selected dozens of warships from Meng Chong, loaded them with firewood, filled them with grease, and then asked Huang Gai to send a letter to Cao Cao first, pretending to surrender.

With the strong southeast wind, the ignited ships flew like arrows to Cao Cao's water army, and all the warships in Cao Jun were burned out. The fire also spread to Cao Jun's camp on land, and countless Cao Jun people were burned to death and drowned.

Zhou Yu and other elite troops who went into battle lightly followed closely and launched a fierce attack on Cao Jun. Cao Jun was badly beaten and had to retreat from the land. The road was muddy again, the old, weak and disabled soldiers were trampled by horses, and more than half of the troops were killed or injured.
