Very objectively speaking, this money should not be taken. If you want to settle accounts, if you think everyone should go Dutch, then return the money to your parents first. This is not a lot of money, and there will be many times when parents are needed in the future. Pension is the pension that the old couple have worked hard all their lives, and the state should pay for it, no matter how much or how little. That's no reason to spend money on you. Please be kind to your parents, the children are watching you.
