Why is the PLA military uniform green?

Green military uniform originated from Ying Bu War.

At that time, the British army was still wearing bright red uniforms, but they soon discovered that Boer soldiers in this green uniform were hard to find in the African jungle, and the British army was repeatedly attacked.

Later, Britain learned a lesson. Before opening modern military uniforms, the army put on military uniforms with yellow and green as the main color, mainly for the purpose of effectively disguising itself in the land war.

With the progress of military science and technology and the change of battlefield conditions, military uniforms began to distinguish formal clothes, uniforms and training uniforms according to different occasions. Green camouflage is more suitable for combat uniforms, while green is no longer necessary for dresses and uniforms, but it is still a habit to a large extent.

Nowadays, in addition to green, there are also gray and black army dresses and uniforms in various countries. Camouflage clothes no longer use a single green color, but use more advanced camouflage colors that adapt to different environments, such as "jungle color" (mainly green, brown and black) and "desert color" (mainly khaki, light green and white).
