What are the representative works of Zhao Mengfu's calligraphy?

Zhao Mengfu is one of the four masters of regular script in the history of calligraphy, which shows how high his attainments in regular script are. YiWen Zhao Ti is one of the four masters of regular script and a very famous figure in the history of calligraphy in China.

Zhao Mengfu's most representative work is Rebuilding the Third Floor of the Xuan Temple, in which Zhao Mengfu has always believed in Taoism and highly respected it, so many of his works are inscriptions for some Taoist temples.

The story of rebuilding the three gates of Xuanmiao Temple is engraved on the stone tablet in front of the main entrance of Xuanmiao Temple. It is the pinnacle of Zhao Mengfu's regular script. The paper is 35.8 cm wide and 283.8 cm long. This peak stone carving still exists in front of the gate of Xuanmiao Temple, but it is no longer the original carving of Zhao Mengfu. The original stone carvings have long since disappeared, and may have disappeared in the long river of history. This stone carving was later entrusted by Suzhou Taoist Association to Suzhou Inscription Museum.

When Zhao Mengfu writes regular script, he often mixes the brushwork of running script, which makes his regular script have a flowing aesthetic feeling and less rigidity, which is also one of the characteristics of Zhao Ti regular script.

Zhao Mengfu's regular script has a good artistic effect. At the same time, in his actual writing and study, it is easier to learn than other works. You must learn the essence of fonts and the true meaning of regular script, so as to learn the writing of regular script better.
