Many people ask why I read so many spells according to the scriptures, but it didn't have much effect. In fact, these spells are based on one foundation-you have to be kind.

Every ritual of practicing dharma and holding spells will tell you: first, you must convert to the precepts; Step two, be merciful, be merciful, be merciful. On this basis, holding spells can exert strength,

In fact, learning Buddhism and Taoism needs to be done step by step. Taoism is called cultivating mind and nourishing nature. People are born in a congenital state, and then blinded by five desires and six dusts, resulting in various delusions. Our hearts are dirty. So at the beginning, Taoist practice was to face a white wall and do nothing in the room. Just to see the wall of these three months, wash away the five desires and six dusts, and let the soul return to peace.

One of the manifestations of returning to peace is that the heart will be full of goodwill. Taoism believes that human nature is good and human nature is good. The newborn baby knows nothing. A blank sheet of paper is actually friendly to the world and all life. He is willing to contribute and give happiness. It is the acquired parents, the family from which they came, and the original social environment that have all kinds of evils. If you want to practice, you must first clear your heart.

The standard of Buddhism and Taoism is the same, and it is necessary to turn over a new leaf. In this era, Buddhism is more suitable, because it is unrealistic to let you stay in a mountain with four white walls for three months. The cultivation of compassion, compassion and samadhi taught by the Buddha is the foundation of everything, the beginning of everything and the beginning of infinite merit.

The Buddha once said that the world is bound to encounter all kinds of insults, slanders and attacks from people or non-people, and the best weapon to resist is compassion. Among them, compassion is the easiest to practice.

In Agama, the Buddha said that compassion and dedicated practice of compassion will gain eleven benefits:

First, have a good sleep, no nightmares, no nightmares; Second, full of energy; Third, people love; Fourth, ghosts and gods are respected and guarded by gods, and disasters of swords and soldiers, fire and poison cannot be violated; At the end of life, people are calm, easy to meditate and enter meditation and samadhi. The most important thing is not to be hurt by ghosts and gods.

It is clearly stated in the additional branch of Agama. One of the reasons why the Buddha said that he would start practicing samadhi is that many of his students, monks who have just become monks, are meditating in the forest, and they are often disturbed by the tree gods and Asura in the forest, as well as the foundation owners, land gods, elves and tree gods in these places.

Some will suddenly get sick, some will suddenly see a snake bite him while meditating, and then people will be poisoned; Some people are meditating, and suddenly they will be pushed down, pushing down the meditation cushion; Some people will suddenly have a jack-o'-lantern when they sleep at night, and they will be frightened; Some people go out to beg, and finally go back to the rest place after begging. They are going to eat, and the food will disappear, because monks don't eat after noon, resulting in no food.

There are many such things, and then the public can't solve them, because in the past, after Buddhism was taught, everyone or several people went to various places to find quiet places to practice. People who practice around the Buddha have no problem, because they can always get the teaching, blessing and protection of the Buddha. Those who go to other places, those who are far away, establish a Buddhist group, or those who practice alone in a quiet place will encounter such problems.

So at a party, we found that this problem is very common, and we couldn't do it before we got the holy fruit, so we asked the Buddha to enlighten us. Therefore, the Buddha announced the eleven merits of cultivating compassion just mentioned.

Then, I told a story about Tzu Chi, a famous primitive Buddhism in Southern Buddhism. Tzu Chi now translates as follows:

May I never be in danger, and no one or no one is my enemy;

May I never have mental pain or physical pain;

May I be happy forever.

May my parents, my relatives, my friends, my master and my fellow initiates be in no danger.

There are no beings who are hostile to them;

There will never be mental pain, no physical pain;

I wish them happiness forever and happiness forever.

Those who wish to practice here will not be in danger;

There is no hostility to them;

No mental pain and physical pain;

May they be happy forever.

May my benefactor stay away from pain and danger;

No sentient beings are hostile to them. May they be happy forever.

Can I protect my god,

In this Dojo, in the residence, in this range;

May all the gods who protect me have no pain and no sentient beings are hostile to him;

Never have mental or physical pain, always be happy.

May all beings,

All living things, all living things,

All beings with names, all beings with bodies,

The lives of all women and men,

All saints or non-saints,

All the gods, human beings,

Suffering from all beings,

There is no pain, no sentient beings are hostile to him,

There is no mental or physical pain. May they be happy forever.

I hope they won't lose everything they got through proper channels,

May they suffer from the cause and effect of personal creation.

In the east, west, north and south,

Southeast, northwest, northeast, southwest,

All living beings up and down,

All creatures, all physical creatures,

A conscious creature with a name and a body,

All women and men,

All saints or non-saints,

All the gods, all the humans,

All life on the road of pain,

There is no danger, and no sentient beings are hostile to it;

No mental pain, no physical pain, always happy;

May life go from the highest heaven to the most painful hell,

All life in these three fields,

All life, whether living on land or in water,

May they never suffer,

No sentient beings will be hostile to them;

May they have no physical pain or mental pain,

All the food, clothing, housing and transportation are satisfactory.

Always enjoy happiness and get the holy fruit.

Buddhist scriptures are in Pali, and there are different translation versions. This is a version, and this is Tzu Chi.

Samadhi is very famous in China and Tibet, because it is dedicated by Maitreya. The book The Wise and the Fool says:

There was a venerable man who was immersed in meditation and gave off golden light, just like a big torch. Later, there was a man named Tamo Liuzhi. After he saw it, he went to ask the Buddha, "This Ming monk is very special. Why? " ? At that time, the Buddha said that because the monk was meditating in compassion, his light was shining and extraordinary. When he heard this, his heart was filled with joy. He told the Buddha that this kind light is really extraordinary! As lofty as Mount Sumi, I hope I can always practice Samadhi in the future and never hurt all beings. Therefore, it was named cishi, namely Maitreya Bodhisattva.

Maitreya Bodhisattva is also called Maitreya Tian Zi, because he is now in the Temple of Heaven, and now he is the owner of the Temple of Heaven. In the world of women, it is our earth. 56 trillion years later, Maitreya Bodhisattva came to the world, showing that it was the third meeting of Buddha Longhua, which was predestined to be rich.

Maitreya Bodhisattva is the next Buddha to show his magical powers, and now he is very close to all beings on the earth. Therefore, it is very common to practice this samadhi from the perspective of Maitreya Bodhisattva.

On the internet, many ways to explain the samadhi of kindness are very general. I share the methods and experiences that Master taught me in the past, and I have been studying with you since I was very young.

First of all, compassion is samadhi, and "goodness" means giving happiness. Remember, this is compassion, not compassion. Compassion is to bear the suffering of all beings. What we are doing here is to cultivate kindness and give happiness. Compassion is the second step. Practice compassion first.

"Samadhi" means meditation and is the realm of meditation, so as the name implies, it is a kind of meditation. For the public, if you really don't have time to calm down, sit down and meditate, or practice the meditation method of compassion and samadhi, just read the Tzu Chi Sutra I just said, read it carefully, read it attentively, and read it with your consciousness. This is the easiest way to practice compassion samadhi.

So if you have time to meditate every day, you can follow my next method:

First of all, you can sit in a chair, for example, you can sit in seven chairs, or you can break up, whatever; You can put your feet on the ground without sitting; In a word, you can sit comfortably and relax yourself.

Step two, there are two options. Traditionally, there are two options. The second step is that if we want to practice meditation, we need a place to start. Meditation, as I told you before, is to let yourself. Simply put, it is "from 10 thousand to one, from zero again and again", and now we are one.

There are two most commonly used methods. The Buddha taught two methods. In the first way, you just sit there and feel your breath slowly. Feel it. It's called Anna, and there are many places called "Watch your breath". But I think it is difficult for many people to understand the word "view" with the word "view", so I'm here to tell you, that is, to feel your breath, starting with feeling your breath.

Because actually "observing breathing" goes a step further. "Observation" means that you will enter a state called "observation". That is, after our eyes, ears, nose and tongue stop, your consciousness becomes active, and your brain will be in a state, that is, your diencephalon will be developed and people will be in a state. What he said is very abstract, and it doesn't come from words. You can understand it in words. These are actually words and deeds. To reach the realm of outlook, you need face-to-face training. So practice feeling first, and start with feeling breathing.

Your breath, everyone is breathing, but most of us have never felt it. Just relax, you feel your breath, remember that you feel the whole breath, so you are the whole breathing process. In essence, the whole process of our breathing is actually the reaction of the whole body, not just the reaction from the nose to the lungs,no. But if you are a beginner, you should start by feeling the breathing of the nose.

When you breathe, you feel it inhaling and exhaling, so count to one. Breathe, breathe, breathe, rest. One breath, one, count from one to seven, no more than seven, and count to seven as a group. Seven breaths are a group, just seven breaths are a group, three groups, starting with three groups. After counting to seven, you can come back again. Count to seven or three times, and you can feel whether it is quiet or not. If you feel quiet, you can feel your breath quietly without counting.

This is the method of six wonderful doors, starting with counting interest.

You don't count slowly, you feel your breath, you slowly feel that it is not only in your head, throat and lungs, you slowly feel that every organ and even every pore of you is involved in this process. You slowly feel that this is "with interest."

During your whole breathing process, you will feel it when you breathe for a long time or a short time, when the temperature changes, and when the length changes. Remember that it's just a feeling, not for you to control, just a feeling. Gradually, you will enter another state, that is, the state of "stopping".

You have many distractions and ideas. Calculate your interest again. Count your interests, follow them, and gradually enter the "stop". Of course, there are more specialized training methods. I'll talk to you later, so let's practice like this first.

At least you have to achieve a kind, which generally requires us to achieve a kind of peace. After reaching this quiet state, keep it and keep it in your heart, and you will feel a little tired of leaving, and you will not be able to keep it. At this time, it is necessary to "observe". What to "observe" is that you have to think, and there is a kind of light in your heart. Generally speaking, you want to have a kind of light in yourself, which is the peace you can get from practicing meditation now. No pain, no mental pain, no physical pain, and no one hates you or attacks you. We wish this quiet happiness.

You should think of your parents first and give them this blessing. You think you have a kind of light for them, and then bless them. You said to them, "I wish you happiness forever without mental pain, physical pain, resentment and hostility from all beings." Just think about it and make your parents smile at you.

This is an exercise, add it every time. Almost three people, that is, adding three people makes two, and then two becomes two, four, 16 ..... Start with the people you know and accumulate bit by bit. At first, practice blessing the people around you, your relatives around you, and then meet friends.

When you first practiced this meditation, you practiced samadhi. When you meditate, don't join the people you hate, don't join the dead, and don't join at all. When you practice like this, you should take care of it. Generally speaking, if there is any problem, it is better to practice this "samadhi zone compassion". You should ask this teacher, so that you can take a closer look and tell you that you should guide slowly. Then, if you have such a practice and want to go further, you can ask me.

If you can only get in touch with me through this article, and you can only read the words, then remember when you can start thinking about those who hate you, that is, you should first bless the people around you, the people who are good to you and the friends who have a general relationship with you, and then you can start blessing those who have hurt you.

The second stage is the person who hurts you, and the third stage is the person you hurt. Then, we will expand to all invisible beings, that is, six beings, and do it step by step.

The whole process used to take at least three months, but now it can be realized in three months. If it is repaired for two hours a day, two hours at noon, two hours at night and six hours a day, it will be stable in three months.

Ok, the second method is breathing. If you can't feel it, then we will focus on the Buddha statue. Then this method is used more, because many people can't find the essentials at all now. Then the Buddha statue here is Maitreya Buddha.

According to Maitreya's sutra "The Method of chanting Buddha and Bodhisattva", if you want this Maitreya, you must first think of five wheels: a water wheel, a car, a wind wheel and a dirt bike, with lotus flowers and a palace on it. Then you don't have to think about the unfamiliar, you can think about the familiar, you can look at your own land, water, fire and wind and think that your body is a five-wheeled tower.

Then, we welcome Maitreya and pray that Maitreya will come to the Heavenly Palace from his pocket. After praying for three times, you will focus on Maitreya. Maitreya Bodhisattva wears five Buddha crowns and looks like a teenager, a handsome boy. Compared with the right hand, it is a statement mark, that is, the middle finger is pinched outward with the thumb. Hold a lotus in your left hand, tie a lotus seal, and hold a lotus in your right hand. There is a pagoda on this lotus. Sitting cross-legged on the Bai Lianhua. He is holding this lotus, red and shining.

You think Maitreya has white eyebrows, white hair and light, shining on you and your whole body. At this time, if you have a good memory, you'd better read Maitreya's "cishi Fundamental Mantra", which is Maitreya's fundamental mantra, and then read his heart mantra, which is his name.

Nanwu Geradana? Dalaya? Nanwu aria? Valu gave it to you? Shiva Roya? Bodista Vaya? Mahastawaya? The teeth of Mahagaloni? Dadiya, him? Huh? Rimai and Rimedra of Mai? Well, what about Onser? Medela? Miki Bavi? Maidurubavi? Mahamasan? Hadi

The fundamental mantra of Maitreya Bodhisattva, also known as cishi's fundamental mantra, is mentioned in the Buddhist Sutra on the Secret Ritual of Emperor Yanshi:

There is a Daming in the eulogy, and this Daming has great power. The world will definitely decide to see Maitreya. If you want something in Jambu-Di^pa, you will get everything you want. Seek all kinds of achievements and big names. I'll make a wish for everyone.

His mantra is Maitreya Swaha, the name of Maitreya. If you can't read this mantra at all, you can directly read the Maitreya mantra, which is his name mantra. Maitreya in Medley is Maitreya, Maitreya in Sanskrit. It is suggested to recite the basic mantra first, and then recite his heart mantra. It doesn't matter how many times you read it. You read slowly and imagine slowly.

In the first stage, you recite the Maitreya mantra and observe the icon of Maitreya Buddha and Bodhisattva, and gradually you will have a sense of solidification? At the beginning, you will have a feeling that there is a reaction between body and mind. Everyone is different, everyone is different, and the time of appearance is different. You don't need to pursue it deliberately. The most important thing is that you should have a peaceful sense of happiness, without fear and pain. Only peace and happiness, satisfaction and happiness will come into being.

The samadhi of compassion is to send out this kind of compassion, which is happiness. Its core is whether this feeling has ever happened in your heart. It's not how many times you have recited Maitreya Bodhisattva or this mantra. No, it's practicing Samadhi, not asking you to practice this mantra, but practicing this meditation in the usual way. It may be difficult for you to get into the state and find the point. Then we will use another way, that is, the method of observing Buddha into samadhi, and then pray for Maitreya Buddha and Maitreya Bodhisattva to bless us and let us enter this state. As long as you feel happy, happy, quiet and this feeling inside, you can start "watching".

This "view" can be the same as just now, and it can be more careful, thinking that Maitreya Bodhisattva shines from opposite you and covers you. This white light pours in from your head and enters your body and mind. You constantly observe his eyebrows, shine into your body, pour them into your eyebrows, or come in from your head, fill your whole body, constantly observe and hold spells.

When you have a kind of happiness and peace in your heart, you think that the same thing starts with your parents, from the parents, grandparents and grandparents who raised you. Your heart is light. After your body is bathed, your pores will glow. It is ok to go out from your heart in turn, or from your feet and your hands. Don't worry. Go wherever you want to go. This white light shines on them, thinking that they will become very happy, and then wishing them happiness, happiness forever, no enemies, no disasters, physical and mental happiness, happiness forever.

Similarly, from relatives and blood relatives to your friends, the second stage is friends, the third stage is people who hurt you, and the fourth stage is people who hurt you, slowly, slowly.

What I just said is that you practice step by step, which means you should concentrate. You focus on the person you love first, and you are finished, because you will definitely feel tired; Then you think about your relatives and friends; Think about it, and then think about the people who hurt you; Think again, all the people you hurt are in the form of shadows, give them your light.

You have four visualizations at a time. Relatives, friends, people who hurt me and people who hurt me are all thoughts, but the last two categories. At first, you mainly focused on the first two categories. You are very skilled in this, giving consideration to both, and then slowly, your focus can be on the latter two categories.

Then these four kinds of living characters are all right, and you can gradually expand to all beings, even all the dead beings. This is a gradual process. Where is your ability, where is your visualization ability, and where is your concentration ability.

Because the core of your samadhi is to put happiness, that is, compassion, that is, to give happiness, which is the core; Saman is absorbed in meditation. You can understand it as concentration, and you can concentrate on conveying tranquility, happiness and happiness. If you're not happy, you can't start talking about giving, can you?

Because people look back, you are tired if you are not skilled. When you are tired, your state is gone, and your inner joy and happiness are gone. You won't be able to give, so you will stop. This is to be repaired slowly, but it will take a long time, and this first month is best for practice.

Many people say, teacher, can you teach me to practice meditation, practice, and teach us this dharma? I tell you that you are willing to listen to me, so I tell you that this is the first practice taught by the Buddha. Trust me, practice like I just said.

Finally, after reading it, you can decide. The decision is to quit this state, want the light to receive the heart chakra, rub your hands, tell yourself that you are back, and decide now. I can tell you the specific methods and processes later.

The last way back is to read this Tzu Chi. Read this Tzu Chi once, and all kinds of effects will come naturally-you will have no disaster yourself, and you will have no pain yourself. If you still have homework, you can keep chanting.

Kindness, it is best to spend three years in a row, which is the core of the core. If you have a good view of compassion, there will be a sad heart behind you, and then you can see the bodhicitta behind you, and it may come into being. Only in this way can there really be a wonderful treasure of bodhicitta, which can fulfill all your wishes.

Let's call it a day. Let's talk about Maitreya's birthday, the first day of the first month, which is the birthday of our big cloth bag monk in China. It is the birthday of Maitreya Bodhisattva, it should be the birthday anniversary of China, and it is also the change of the moon in Buddhism. It will be good for everyone to start practicing compassion, compassion and samadhi, and the reason will be unique.

Especially in this chaotic era, when we practice compassion, you will have light, and your family will begin to get peace and good luck.

Self-transformation is nothing more than Buddhism and Taoism, so it is a line.

These four sentences are Ode to a Line. In the future, when Buddhists develop bodhicitta and practice bodhisattva, the original vows are the same as those of Buddhists in the past: "I practice Buddhism so that all living beings can share this Tao." If so, he will be self-centered, so that anyone who has the opportunity to smell Buddhism can get this opportunity to follow Buddhism.
