Children's understanding of color in large classes

First: Knowing Colors

Analysis of Children

Children in small classes are generally young, and parents are relatively weak in education. When they first entered the kindergarten, only a few children knew several main colors, and most of them didn't know any colors. Therefore, how to teach children to know colors is an urgent problem for our teachers. In order to let children master colors quickly, according to their age characteristics, in this activity, I created the contents of related topics and scenarios for children, so that children can unconsciously master abstract colors in activities and games in high spirits.

Activity goal

1. Cultivate interest in color and know the three primary colors of red, yellow and blue.

2. Initially cultivate children's observation ability and hands-on operation ability.

3. In the initial exploration, I know that mixing two colors can turn into another color, and I am interested in exploring the colors of things around me.

Activity preparation

1. Red, yellow and blue pigments, cotton swabs and pigment boxes.

2. Several transparent glass plates.

3. A picture of the color elf.

4. There is one drawing paper for each person.

activity process

1. activity lead-in: lead out the theme and let children know the three primary colors through teacher's guidance.

teacher: honey, today, on the way here, Teacher Yang met a good friend. Guess who he is? (The teacher shows the picture of the elf)

Teacher: Look, he is a color elf. He told Teacher Yang that he somehow got lost while walking, so he wanted to ask Teacher Yang to help him find his house.

Teacher: But Mr. Yang hasn't been to his home for a long time, so let's bring the color elf to school and let's help him find his home.

The elf said: My house is red, the door is blue and the window is yellow. Please help me find it!

2. Diffuse thinking activities: let children use their imagination and fully perceive the ubiquitous color baby in life. Let the children look for the small house of the color elf everywhere in the classroom. Finally, through continuous efforts, everyone finally helped the elf find a home. Through this process, children's understanding of the three primary colors will be deepened.

3. Teacher's demonstration experiment process:

(1) The teacher appeared as a magician, which made the children's attention in a subset and entered a quiet and eager state of seeking wisdom. The teacher presents various experimental props in turn.

(2) Ask children to observe the color in the cup and ask for activities

Show the red and yellow cups for children to see clearly, then mix the two colors and carefully observe their change results.

Teacher: Look, children, what color has changed in the cup?

You: It's the same color as the orange (orange)

Teacher: So where did the red and yellow go just now?

Young: They turned orange together.

Experiment how to turn yellow and blue into green, and blue and red into purple.

4. Encourage children to operate:

(1) Now, please let the children be little magicians and change the beautiful colors.

divide the children into several groups, each group has a set of red, yellow and blue pigments, a palette, a pack of cotton swabs, a glass and a record sheet for each person (the teacher helps to fill in)

Teacher: "Little friend, you can use the three colors of red, yellow and blue on your desk to do magic tricks. Let's see who can make the most babies, shall we?"

Children boldly operate, teachers give directions from the side, and children discuss with each other. When yellow and red are woven into orange, orange can also be mixed with other colors to see what the results are. Teachers help children make records.
