In your opinion, why is human nature so greedy?

Man's desire is endless, which promotes the progress of mankind. Greed is a desire, so greed is not surprising. Taking the right path to satisfy one's own desires is not criticized in law and morality. It is shameful to harm the interests of others or the state to satisfy oneself, and it is also sanctioned by law.
