Therefore, PetroChina's production raw materials are mainly domestic crude oil, while Sinopec has almost no oil fields. Almost all the crude oil he refined was imported. Although the quality is not very high, it is better than the crude oil produced in China.

Generally speaking, the quality of imported crude oil is better than domestic crude oil, so Sinopec is slightly better than PetroChina in processing raw materials. The basic production process of gasoline is to catalytically crack crude oil to obtain gasoline base oil. This base oil has low octane number and high sulfur content, so it cannot be directly used in automobiles. Additives must be added and mixed into the specified label before they can be used. Therefore, the additives in the later stage of gasoline are also an important factor affecting the quality of gasoline. In this regard, there is no clear evidence to say who is good and who is bad. However, it is recognized that Sinopec's additives are better. The obvious fact is that the carbon deposition of automobile engines in the northern region is serious, so Sinopec also has certain advantages in this respect.

But now with the implementation of the National Sixth Standard, gasoline additives are also improving, and the gap between them is already very small. Finally, let me talk about the personal feelings of many car owners. Many car owners said that with Sinopec gasoline, the car has better power and faster acceleration. Compared with PetroChina, the gap is not very big. Only when it is accelerated, Sinopec gasoline is obviously more resistant to burning. Some car owners said that a box of oil can even be dozens of kilometers away.

Therefore, no matter from the raw materials, additives or the owner's actual car experience, Sinopec's engine oil is indeed better and more resistant to burning. However, in some areas, PetroChina's preferential activities are often larger, and the prices are actually not much different. No matter which one has it, the impact on the car is actually very small, so the owner does not have to be too entangled in the choice.
