SS400 is Japanese steel. Refers to the common structural steel with tensile strength of 400 MPa. Q235 is domestic steel, that is, ordinary carbon structural steel with yield point greater than 235MPa. SS400 is basically the same as Q235 in China, but there are some differences in specific indicators. Q235 requires the contents of elements such as C, Si, Mn, S and P, while SS400 only requires S and P less than 0.050. The yield point of Q235 is greater than 235 MPa, while that of SS400 is 245MPa. The standard number of SS400 is JIS G 3101-1995. The standard number of Q235 is GB/T700- 1988.
