How to study the primary and secondary design of substations?

My university major is power system automation, so I have a little understanding of the secondary part, but it is all theoretical and I don’t have any applied knowledge. Before going to the design institute, I had been engaged in the engineering design of microcomputer protection screens for substations (according to the requirements of the technical contract, I drew schematics and wiring diagrams and handed them over to the workshop for production), so I have a little understanding of secondary applications. ?

After I went to the design institute, I didn’t do any work for the first one or two weeks. I just looked at the design drawings of the secondary parts of various substations. In fact, they are very similar. You have to find the differences between the various design drawings yourself. If you don’t understand, just ask your colleagues. Then, I started to make drawings of cable laying. Although there was no technical content, it was helpful to understand the composition of the entire secondary system. Then, we started to draw the drawings of the secondary part of the substation. ?

At the beginning, the leader gave me the design of the 10kV or 35kV part. With the previous drawings for reference, it was not too difficult. Later, I gradually started to work on the 220kV and 110kV parts. Unfortunately, I have only worked for less than a year and have not done any systematic secondary design of substations of my own. ?

So, my suggestion is to buy two standard atlases and start by looking at the atlases. This kind of atlas seems to be published by the State Grid Corporation of China and is sold online and in electric bookstores in various provincial capital cities. ?

I think the current design specifications for substations are very clear and no one will make big changes, especially the secondary part. Therefore, if you are engaged in secondary design, it is not difficult from entry to practice. ?

As for the one-time part, I have never done it before and can’t answer it.
