there is another reason, because I always like retro cars, and retro scooters are also a prey in my heart. Vespa3 is a retro scooter, but I think it just inherits the name, and there are still many gaps with the real retro.

it's not that I'm against upgrading. I'm in favor of upgrading engine power, chassis, brakes and fuel consumption. But the classic shape changes must be cautious. It's either new or good, because the design, in addition to matching the whole, is the most important to retain the bloodline, especially the retro car. I often say, how many years ago did Leonardo da Vinci's Mona Lisa work? Is it old enough? Is the work of modern painters more valuable? The appearance is a work of art, which has nothing to do with technical upgrading such as engine engineering department.

Vespa3 is known as the 3 model, and it is water-cooled. Should it be satisfactory in power? I drove this car for a trip to Chongqing (Hangzhou-Chongqing round trip), and after more than 3 thousand kilometers, I came to the conclusion that it is only suitable for driving in cities or general national highways. If you use it to run on the highway, or on a better national road, the speed is out of reach with it. The 15.8 kW engine produced in 28 shows only 117 km/h at most on the Guide APP. So that I went out to run with Longxin Wuji 3R, and I was often abused by Wuji, and I was defeated by Wuji 3.

I once swapped the 218 Peugeot City Star 2 with my riders, and I was surprised to find that the engine power of this Peugeot car is definitely not worse than Vespa3, maybe it is better. in addition, the original brakes of Vespa3 are weak. Once I met the old man in front of me crossing the road when the watch was showing 8 mph. Squeeze the two brake handles to death, and in my heart's crazy jump, I finally stopped running at a distance of about one meter from my uncle! But ABS is very good.

I immediately ordered the modified brake parts and replaced the whole set of brake calipers and brake pads. I chose Frando products from Cheliwu, as shown below:

The braking effect changed immediately. However, if you want higher requirements, it is best to upgrade the pump together, which is also a Frando brand. However, installing the pump will destroy the plastic part of the handle of Vespa faucet, as shown below:

One more thing, it may be personality problem. 3 made in Vietnam, I helped my friend carry several cars, but my own car has no damping at all! Shock absorption has no damping. When crossing the hurdle on the road, the shock absorption spring will bounce up without restraint after being compressed for one movement, and the vehicle will fly in serious cases! This is a big problem that affects vehicle handling. Strangely, only my car won the prize!

there is no alternative but to order the modified shock absorption of RAM in an online shop in Taiwan Province. After the replacement, the problem was eliminated and the performance was improved.

there is another BUG in my car, that is, the headlights can't be adjusted in height. After inspection, it was found that it was the gourd head of the adjusting screw, which tripped from the inside of the lamp, so it was useless to screw the screwdriver to death. But because of the destructive repair, I gave up and didn't have time to claim compensation.

in addition, Vespa3 is not suitable for long-distance riding, which is characterized by huge fuel consumption and extremely small fuel tank! A box of oil can only run about 17 kilometers, even less at high speed. It takes about 6 yuan to refuel a case of No.95 gasoline in September. Look at the fuel consumption of this car.

but this car, the city is its battlefield. It is more suitable for white-collar workers to shuttle between CBD and cafes. It is full of style and can also shuttle between cities in short distance. Of course, Vespa, driving it to the annual meeting of retro cars is also a good car. Vespa3 was originally designed without considering its long-distance function, so I asked too much of it.
