Chronic cholecystitis: the symptoms are not obvious. Some patients will have indigestion such as dull pain, nausea and abdominal distension in the right upper abdomen, or mild tenderness under the costal margin of the right upper abdomen, or feel uncomfortable when pressed. The feeling of dull pain is more obvious after exercise and cold bath. A considerable number of patients with cholecystolithiasis occur unconsciously after suffering from chronic cholecystitis.

Acute cholecystitis: mainly manifested as persistent pain in the right upper abdomen, accompanied by nausea, vomiting and fever. In fact, most acute cases can be said to be acute attacks of chronic cholecystitis.
