According to Buddhist teachings, the occurrence of evil consequences must be due to both causes and conditions. The causes of prisons are mostly caused by imprisoning sentient beings in previous lives, such as keeping cats and dogs in captivity, keeping birds and beasts in cages, and other things that caused sentient beings to lose their freedom, or caused people to lose their freedom. This is an internal cause, a seed. There must also be conditions for the seeds to mature, that is, the conditions for the evil causes to bear fruit. This means that disobeying the law in this world will be punished by the law. If you commit bad karma, you will receive bad retribution. This is called karma. If you want to resolve it, all the methods are just predestined. The main question is whether the sentient beings harmed in the previous life are willing to resolve it. Recite more sutras, repent more, and dedicate your merits to the sentient beings who have been harmed in previous lives, and you may be able to turn things around.
