General anesthesia means that anesthetics enter the human body through respiratory inhalation or intravenous and intramuscular injection, which has an inhibitory effect on the central nervous system. During most general anesthesia, patients need a ventilator to breathe!

One: general anesthesia induction, there are two kinds: inhalation and intravenous induction, inhalation with nitrous oxide (now basically given up, side effects are too great), isoflurane ... intravenous administration is a lot, so I don't explain them one by one. After induction, the patient turns from conscious to unconscious (so you can't ask about the anesthesia process later).

Then endotracheal intubation is performed, that is, the endotracheal tube is inserted into the patient's trachea through the oral cavity (mostly) or nasal cavity. After successful intubation, immediately connect the anesthesia machine and ventilate by the machine!

Two: the maintenance of general anesthesia, simply put, is to maintain the appropriate anesthesia depth and muscle relaxation during skin incision, laparotomy, closure and abdominal exploration to meet the surgical requirements! At the same time, keep the patient's circulation and respiratory function stable!

Three: General anesthesia is over, which is very painful for anesthesiologists. For many reasons, patients can't wake up immediately ... sometimes they can wait for the patient for more than an hour. ..

Feeling: I'm just giving you some symptoms after general anesthesia

Most symptoms, you won't feel during general anesthesia. After the operation, the first thing is that the stomach is very uncomfortable, and the doctor will give medicine to relieve it. Secondly, there is blood in sputum, which is caused by organ damage caused by tracheal intubation. Once again, incontinence, don't be afraid, have preoperative preparation. Fourth, headache and dizziness, be sure to keep your head and limbs level 8 hours after general anesthesia!
