The difference between crucian carp, grass carp and carp

As the three most common domestic fishes of CYPRINIDAE, there are many kinds of fish bones, but their shapes are quite different.

Crucian carp is short, mostly with black back and white skin (commonly known as white crucian carp). Generally, the market is below 1 kg, and crucian carp above 2 kg are rare.

Grass carp is big and long, commonly known as Anhui fish. Generally, it is more than 1 kg in the market, about 3 kg is common, and the big one can reach several hundred kg.

Carp is short, bearded and brightly colored. Red carp, green carp and flower carp ... are generally above 1 kg in the market, and the big ones can grow to above 100 kg.
