Lu Desheng was born in Ningling, Henan Province and lived in Jiajing period. He is very concerned about children's education and advocates that children should be educated correctly if they have knowledge.

At that time, some children's songs were circulated among the people, such as "Dishu Dish" and "Lighting in the East Room and Lighting in the West Room". He believes that these children's songs are harmless to children, but they are not good for moral cultivation and later development. So he wrote a new nursery rhyme to replace the old nursery rhyme, thus making this book.
