The unity of Gyroshan No.1 makes a fine product.

A national first-class screenwriter, a young screenwriter, and a large-scale drama "Gyroshan No.1" created by the Cultural and Art Troupe of the Political Department of Nanjing Military Region. In order to create the play, the screenwriter Yao Yuanji spent five years conceiving, went deep into more than one-line troops and confrontation exercises in the military region 10, and held discussions with nearly 500 officers and men, from generals to ordinary soldiers, collecting creative materials and inspiring creative inspiration.

After the first draft was formed, the relevant creative staff of the art organization discussed it repeatedly, and it was easy to draft it. After the script was put on the stage, it has performed 10 for officers and men of military organs and grass-roots frontline troops, invited experts to give on-site guidance, listened to opinions and suggestions from all sides repeatedly, constantly revised and polished, and strived for quality products. As a realistic military literary work, the drama focuses on the practical problems in the reform and development of the army, reflecting the lofty ideological realm of a group of middle and senior leading cadres of our army who are willing to take the overall situation into consideration from the future and destiny of the country and the long-term development of army building.

The play was directed by Sun Wenxue, a national first-class director, and the cast gathered outstanding actors such as Fu Chengpeng, Xu Honghao, Yu Hewei, Sun Xun, Ning Xiaozhi, Wang Changlin and Zhou Huilin. The rehearsal of the play lasted more than eight months. All the cast members set up the concept of the overall situation, give full play to their subjective initiative, work hard in unity, overcome personal difficulties, and concentrate on rehearsing. Many actors refused the contract to invite foreign performances, showing a good sense of teamwork. During the rehearsal, the actors can actively put forward reasonable opinions and suggestions to the writers and directors, and often discuss them until one or two o'clock in the middle of the night, which shows a good professionalism.

In order to benefit the first-line officers and men at the grass-roots level, the Party Committee of the Art Troupe has organized many creative personnel to discuss the performance plan of the troops under the play. Based on the principle that the army's performance team is excellent, the props are few, and the troops are not troubled, they boldly "finely packaged" the play in three aspects: first, the cast was reduced from 65 in the past to 15, and some actors and dancers were reduced; Second, in terms of stage props, we only need simple props that actors carry with them, namely 1 folding table, 2 detachable screens and 3 small stools; Third, in terms of stage effect, the protection of lighting and sound is removed and microphones are not used. After the hardcover adaptation, the "Gyroscope No.1" crew went to the grassroots units for a condolence performance. Every performance, grassroots officers and men are in high spirits, asking questions around the actors. After a roadshow, the actors agreed that although the stage was simple, the face-to-face communication with grassroots officers and soldiers was very impactful and inspiring.
