Appreciation of Li Bai's chanting of Chibi

The battle between the two dragons was decisive, and Chibi's boat was swept away. The fire shone on the sea of clouds, and Zhou Yu broke Tsao Gong here.

As for the writing place of this poem, it is generally considered to be Huangzhou Chibi, such as "Huangzhou Fu Zhi" by Ming Hongzhi and "Huangzhou Chibi Evolution" by Wang Baoxin, a famous local historian in the Republic of China. Contemporary Mr. Ding Yonghuai even made a special textual research on this poem: Li Bai and according to a habit that has never changed in my life, it is entirely possible to visit the ancient city Huangzhou and the historic site Chibi many times along the river. Li Bai wrote The Song of Farewell to Chibi, probably written in the 22nd year of Kaiyuan in Tang Dynasty (AD 734). From spring to autumn this year, Li Bai lived in Jiangxia (present-day Wuhan), buried Wu Guide in Wuchang (present-day Ezhou) east, and crossed the river to visit Huangzhou Chibi. At that time, no matter Pu Xian Chibi or Wuchang Chibi, there were no buildings for people to visit, let alone farewell places. Only Huangzhou Chibi has these conditions. Therefore, Li Bai's Song of Farewell to Chibi was written in Huangzhou. Although it was not pointed out that it was written in Huangzhou, it is certain that it was written in Huangzhou to bid farewell to a friend by boat ("Jun went to the riverside to make a beautiful garden") and in Huangzhou Chibi ("Dongpo Chibi").

Song of Farewell to Red Cliff takes the theme as the main line, closely linking nostalgia and farewell. The first couplet and couplet, relying on Battle of Red Cliffs, talked about the significance of the war, and The Two Dragons Fighting Against each other wrote about the situation of the war, and The Fire shines on the Sea of Clouds and Zhou Yu's Breaking Tsao Gong here talked about the result of the war. On the other hand, the neck couplet and the tail couplet bid farewell to friends, not to their children in tears. Instead, I earnestly warned my friends to tell them the news of "whales and salamanders suddenly" after they left, so that they could enjoy it together to show their like-mindedness.

In this bold poem. Li Bai galloped in his imagination with fiery emotions, especially the words "Sweeping the floor in Chibi Building" and "Fire shines on the sea of clouds", which truly reproduced the scene of "fire attack", gave people a strong and exciting impression, and skillfully melted into the poet's yearning, expressing his desire to make friends with the heroes of the Three Kingdoms. The whole poem is full of heroic momentum, showing romantic style, full of pen and ink, ups and downs, bold and unrestrained, magnificent, worthy of the generosity of the great poet.
