The stream originating from Yunzhong Mountain flows into the Jinjiang River in the north and becomes the source of Quanzhou's mother river; the stream in the south flows into the Jiulong River and becomes an important tributary of the Jiulong River. Numerous canyons constitute the extraordinary depth of Yunzhong Mountain. The orogeny that occurred hundreds of millions of years ago caused a strong height difference in the Yunzhong Mountains.
