According to the US Global Defense website, US Air Force F-35A fighters attacked Syrian targets defended by Russian-made S-300 and S-400 air defense missiles.

The US Air Force disclosed that although Russia and Syria announced that they were prepared to shoot down any air target that invaded Syrian airspace and threatened Russian and Syrian troops.

On April 10, 2020, American F35A fighter planes still flew in the areas covered by S-300 and S400 air defense systems in Russia and Syria, not only flying over Syrian airspace and areas controlled by Syrian army, but also attacking areas controlled by CAA.

It is known that the area attacked by US Air Force fighters was occupied by Islamic State terrorist organizations. However, Russia and Syria were not informed of the attack.

Although Syria still hasn't provided any data, American military experts suggested that American F-35 fighters fly directly over the area to destroy the Islamic State terrorist organization.

There are many questions about the work of Russian S-300 and S-400 systems in Syria. Contrary to Russia's claim that these systems can detect stealth targets, it is reported that Israeli F-35 fighters have repeatedly attacked the detection and strike areas of Russian-made S-400 systems.

This makes the outside world question whether these systems can effectively detect stealth targets at a distance of more than 200 kilometers, as claimed in Rostec advertisements. According to the indicators disclosed by Russian officials, the troops of Russian S-400 air defense missile system are equipped with five radars, covering four bands.

Including NeboM (VHF band), RLM-D(L band), 64H6(S band), 36H6(X band) and 96L6 low-altitude search radar. These radars work together and have good detection performance for stealth targets. The system can use more than six kinds of air defense missiles. When using 40N6 missile, the maximum attack distance is as far as 400 kilometers.
