Objectively speaking, our life and work are very stressful now, and we don't have much free time to find our own fun. So idolization is a relatively simple way of entertainment. We can give our true feelings to a star and feel very happy when watching some video clips or photos of this star.

On the whole, I don't think there is anything wrong with idolization. What is wrong is that those fans who are too blind and crazy start abusing fans of other stars without asking anything. This kind of idolization is unhealthy and unreasonable, but moderate idolization can really make you better, which is also an acceptable phenomenon.
