She felt that the actors on the stage were the most beautiful and most admired people in the world. Gradually, "Plum Blossoms" and "Pearl Tower" were performed on the stage, and she was singing and dancing along with the rags in her hands as handkerchiefs in the audience. When her mother saw little Chen Qiong singing in the audience every day and still singing when she got home, she couldn't help but ask her: "Do you really love singing so much? In 1989, after completing junior high school courses at Pingtung Middle School, Chen Qiong was successfully admitted to the Fujian opera class of the Provincial Art School and began her dream career in Fujian opera. She often got up in the dark to hang her throat; during summer vacation, she still stayed in the school practice room to practice over and over again. In 1994, Chen Qiong graduated from the Fujian Opera Class and became a Fujian Opera actor in the Provincial Experimental Fujian Theater. Speaking of her artistic success, Chen Qiong said that she was very lucky to have encountered a good period of Fujian opera reform, and she also met good teachers like Lin Ying and Chen Xinguo who had the kindness to teach and teach. In 1993, Chen Qiong, who was still studying in the Fujian Opera class of the Provincial Art School, participated in the Fujian Narcissus Rookie Grand Prix as Dou E in "Dou E's Injustice·Dream Club". Before this competition, for the first time, she received careful guidance from Lin Ying, who was already the director of the Provincial Experimental Fujian Theater. Lin Ying helped her analyze and figure out the characters word by word. The successful performance in this Grand Prix won her the title of Outstanding New Seedling Award, and also laid the foundation of the "Lin School" for her recitation. Chen Qiong said that now, every time an audience who loves her says that there is a shadow of Lin Ying in her narration, she will think of the scene when rehearsing the play "Dream Club".

In 1994, Lin Ying, then director of the Provincial Experimental Fujian Theater, was just 39 years old and had a large number of loyal theater fans. But she unexpectedly proposed that all the old actors, including herself, would retreat to the second line, leaving the aura-filled stage to Chen Qiong, a group of young actors who had just graduated. After that, Chen Qiong had the opportunity to be a main actor and played the heroine in many major dramas: the dignified and virtuous Qian Yulian who is loyal to love in "The Story of the Jingchai", the melancholy and touching Mo Chou in "Mo Chou Girl" Chou, the lively and clever Chun Yan in "The King of Horses", the loyal Kou Zhu and the blind Concubine Li in "The Civet Cat for the Prince", the well-educated, gentle and elegant Zhang Xiuyu in "The Demotion of an Official"... …Practice and training on the stage enabled Chen Qiong to get rid of her youthfulness and immaturity in performance step by step, and gradually grew into an excellent national first-class actor.
