The main reasons are:

2. There are many large enterprises in the north, and the internal friction of relocation is huge, making it difficult to make a decision.

Over the years, even though Taiyuan has developed to the east and west mountains, it has not vigorously developed the flat north side. Everyone knows the reason. Numerous large enterprises are concentrated here. It can be said to be the earliest developed area. These enterprises have made great contributions to the development of the city and the country. Now it is too difficult to relocate.

3. The land in the south is flat and open, making it easy to connect to Jinzhong and build urban integration.

This is also the reason why the south has been vigorously developed in recent years and in the future.

4. Xiongan is in the north, and the transportation network surrounding Xiongan is bound to develop rapidly. Naturally, Taiyuan cannot fall behind. In addition, the tourism industry in Xinzhou, Wutai and Datong has been significantly stronger than that of the southern cities in the province in recent years. Therefore, it is imperative to vigorously develop transportation in the north.

Two years ago, if someone said that Taiyuan would develop northward, they would be laughed at. Because everyone can see that all the new landmarks in Taiyuan are in the south, including the gymnasium, library, science and technology museum, museum, business district, ancient county seat... Even the north side of the subway only reaches Jiancaoping.

However, if some people now say that Taiyuan will no longer develop the north, that is also unfair. Because Taiyuan has or is vigorously developing roads in Beicheng, not only within the urban area, but also outside the urban area. There are now many spacious expressways leading to the north from Binhe Road to the north, Datong Road to the north, and Wohushan Road to the north.

Some people say that there are also some in the south, but there are more in the south. Yes, there are more in the south, but there are currently fewer people in the north. These roads are wide and there are fewer vehicles, which means that transportation in the north to connect to the outside world is being vigorously developed.

It is also a good plan to develop a rapid transportation network in the north, which successfully avoids businesses and residential groups without large-scale relocation.
