As soon as the east wind blows, the smoke in the chimney drifts westward.

East wind refers to the wind blowing from the east and blowing purposefully in the opposite direction along a straight line. From north to south and east to west, you can see that the east wind is drifting westward, and the smoke is also drifting westward along the east wind. There are also many sayings about the east wind, such as "the east wind blows all the year round, but I'm afraid it won't blow hard", "the east wind is urgent, and the rain hits the wall" and so on.

In meteorology, the direction of the wind is determined as the wind direction. When the meteorological observatory forecasts the wind, the wind direction will swing from side to side in a certain direction, and it will be "biased", such as the northerly wind.
