Yuntai Mountain is not the only scenic spot where "Henan buys tickets and Shanxi sees scenery".

There are many scenic spots in China called Yuntai Mountain, the most famous of which is Yuntai Mountain in Xiuwu County, Jiaozuo, Henan Province. In 20 17, Yuntai Mountain in Jiaozuo received 5.56 million tourists, and the ticket income alone exceeded 500 million yuan. In the same year, the number of tourists in Songshan Scenic Area where Shaolin Temple is located exceeded 3.5 million. Lingchuan county, next door to Jincheng, Shanxi, was envious, sorry and helpless when she saw Yuntai Mountain in Jiaozuo, because the main vein of Yuntai Mountain is in Shanxi, and many important scenic spots are also in Shanxi, but the ticket revenue comes from Henan. It can be said that tourists "buy tickets in Henan and see the scenery in Shanxi".

What makes Shanxi even more depressed is that Shanxi people are still the main tourists of Yuntai Mountain because of their proximity. They went from Shanxi to Henan to buy tickets. When they looked at the scenery, they found many scenes in Shanxi.

Because of this phenomenon, there are disputes between the two places from the private to the official, and even "big fights" for this. It is not only Yuntai Mountain that has the same problem, but also Qingtianhe Scenic Area in Bo 'ai County, Jiaozuo. Although the Taihang Grand Canyon at the junction of Shanxi and Henan is not controversial, foreign tourists used to know only the Taihang in Henan, but not the Taihang in Shanxi.

So, how are these disputes formed? In every dispute, it seems that Shanxi has "suffered a loss". What is the truth? Just say it one by one.

Let's start with the most famous Yuntai Mountain. Yuntai Mountain is one of the first geoparks in the world, and it is a 5A-level scenic spot. There are rich geological relics here, and rock strata 3.4 billion years ago have been discovered; The scenery here is steep, with famous scenic spots such as Yuntai Waterfall, the highest waterfall in Asia.

Yuntai Mountain is located at the junction of Xiuwu County, Jiaozuo City, Henan Province and Lingchuan County, Jincheng City, Shanxi Province. There is a 48-kilometer-long boundary line between them, most of which is bounded by rivers. This river is Laotangou River (also known as Quanpuxia), and the center of the river is the boundary between the two counties, that is, the two provinces. Laotangou is divided into two parts, belonging to Shanxi and Henan.

The Yuntai Waterfall with a drop of 3 14 meters is a part of Laotangou River (Spring Waterfall Gorge), so this waterfall is also divided into two provinces. Shanxi has not only half of Yuntai Waterfall, but also many scenic spots such as Xiaozhaigou. There is a factual basis for saying that tourists "go to Shanxi to see the scenery".

During the period of 1999, lingchuan county raised an objection to the jurisdiction of some areas in Yuntai Mountain. After investigation and discussion, the relevant state departments issued the Opinions on the Administrative Boundary between Shanxi and Henan Provinces in Yuntai Mountain Scenic Area and Qingtianhe Reservoir Section and related issues, which fully affirmed Shanxi's administrative power in disputed areas, but also indicated that all development activities should be subject to the unified planning and management of Yuntai Mountain Scenic Area in Henan Province.

Lingchuan county, Shanxi Province, which has realized the importance of tourism, has also started to develop its own tourism projects on Yuntai Mountain, but there are more and more frictions between the two sides. In 2004, Shaanxi claimed that Henan not only developed across the border for many times, but also organized 150 people, led by more than 30 policemen, to go to Qin Quan Village, a fire-prone township in lingchuan county, to interfere with the construction of scenic spots here.

Under the restraint of the two governments, the situation did not expand further, and related disputes were reported to the relevant state departments. Lingchuan County also suspended the development and construction of scenic spots as required. Since then, the Yuntai Mountain Scenic Area on Yuntai Mountain funded by Shanxi has not been systematically opened. Local people also earn some income mainly by selling specialty products and opening restaurants.

In fact, when Yuntai Mountain was underdeveloped, there was no dispute here. Taihang Mountain is dangerous, with inconvenient transportation, no crops and no mines. Few people are willing to go. Who will support it?

By 1985, Henan Province, which is more advanced in consciousness, began to develop Yuntai Mountain Scenic Area. By 2004, Jiaozuo city had invested more than 500 million yuan in the infrastructure of scenic spots, which surprised its peers.

In addition to infrastructure, Yuntai Mountain continues to put in annual advertisements on CCTV, travel channels and other places, and the corresponding tourism promotion efforts are also great. Such investment is also very rare in Henan, where the overall tourism development is relatively mature. Of course, the result is also very valuable.

When Henan began to develop scenic spots, Shanxi had not taken it seriously. There is a classic joke. At that time, a parking lot of 20,000 square meters was built in Henan. Shanxi laughed at them for throwing money blindly, and later found that Henan's thinking was right.

It is precisely the tourism practitioners in Shanxi who love telling such jokes. They have also been rethinking why Shanxi, which is rich in resources, can't travel well. Shanxi merchants tour, ancient architecture tour, religious tour, root-seeking tour, Taihang tour, etc. There is no shortage of tourism resources, including Wutai Mountain, Yungang Grottoes, Pingyao Ancient City, Qiao Family Courtyard, Hong Tong Sophora japonica and Taihang Mountain. However, tourism revenue is not in the front among the six central provinces, tourism facilities are not perfect, and tourism services are backward.

Take mountains as an example. Surrounded by mountains, Shanxi is the only province in China with five mountains (Hengshan Mountain in the north), five towns (Huoshan Mountain in Zhong Zhen) and four famous Buddhist mountains (Wutai Mountain). In addition, there are Mianshan (the birthplace of Tomb-Sweeping Day), Cangshan (the place where Zhao orphans occurred), Beiwudang Mountain, Wulaofeng Mountain, Luya Mountain and Lishan Mountain. However, except Wutai Mountain, the tourism revenue is considerable, and the management of other mountains is difficult to compare with Yuntai Mountain.

It is precisely because Shanxi's own tourism development is weak that some netizens think that Shanxi is jealous. It is also a waste of resources to send Yuntai Mountain to Shanxi. But there are also many people who think that Henan is too strong and should develop together, at least giving Shanxi more opportunities.

Henan's efforts for the development of Yuntai Mountain are obvious to all, and it should be richly rewarded. For Shanxi, after reflection and painful lessons, it is not wrong to put forward lessons to make up for tourism development.

Shanxi is a major energy province such as coal, and paid insufficient attention to tourism in the previous development process. In the process of late transformation and development, we missed opportunities and lacked experience, so we are more eager to seize every opportunity to develop the tourism industry.

The dispute between Qingtianhe Scenic Area and Yuntai Mountain is very similar. Qingtianhe is located in Aibo County, Jiaozuo City, Henan Province and Zezhou County, Jincheng City, Shanxi Province. It is a world geopark with beautiful scenery and is known as the Three Gorges in the north. The developer of the scenic spot is from Henan, and some scenic spots are in Shanxi.

The "competition" of Taihang Mountain Grand Canyon tourism is more active. Because the Taihang Grand Canyon is too big, it is impossible to develop Linzhou in Anyang, Henan Province and Huguan in Changzhi, Shanxi Province as a whole (this is not something that can cross the border in half an hour), so it is mainly a propaganda dispute. Whoever publicizes more will be remembered.

Originally, many people only knew about Taihang Mountain Grand Canyon in Henan Province, but in recent years, Changzhi, Shanxi Province has boldly launched young teams to innovate tourism development, which has shown a trend of "competing with Henan". Therefore, as long as you do enough work, nothing is irreversible.
