In the late Ming and early Qing dynasties, wars were frequent and Sichuan people were robbed. Fiona Fang, within a hundred miles, was uninhabited. In 1684 (thirty-three years of Kangxi), immigrants began to fill Sichuan. According to the county annals of Yuechi County, there were few indigenous surnames in the county in the late Ming and early Qing Dynasties. During the period from Kangxi to Qianlong in Qing Dynasty, immigrants from Hunan, Guangxi, Shaanxi and Gansu moved into Yuechi County. Most of the immigrants in Guxian Town are from Hunan. These immigrants from Hunan, immigrants from Jiangxi, Fujian and Hubei, and aborigines have been in one place for a long time, and their languages have influenced each other, forming a unique Guxian dialect (the people in Guxian pronounced "Huang" as "Wang" and "cucumber, soybean and jute" as "Wang gua, Wang Dou and Wang Ma", but the characteristics of Hunan dialect are still the same.

Guxian dialect is distributed in Huanglong, Goldman Sachs, Shuang Yan, Gao Qiao, Dongban, Tianchang, Guxian, Guanqiao, Shicheng, Goujiao, Anton, Tian Ping and Yufeng. However, due to the rapid development of traffic, people in Guxian county have increasingly frequent contact with the outside world. On the basis of Xiang dialect, Guxian dialect has gradually become a dialect with its own language characteristics in Southwest Mandarin, and is gradually close to and recognized by the surrounding Yuechi County dialect and Nanchong dialect.
