Tom and Jerry's story revolves around a pair of ordinary domestic cats, Tom Mouse and Jerry Mouse. Tom has a strong desire to catch Jerry, the mouse who lives in the same room, and keeps trying to get rid of the annoying tenants. Although Tom always fails, he prefers to chase Jerry rather than catch him.
