History of Xinning County

Xinning County is a county under the jurisdiction of Zhuzhou City, Hunan Province, and its history can be traced back to the Eastern Zhou Dynasty more than two thousand years ago. According to historical records, Xinning area at that time belonged to Lingling County and was the border area of Chu State. During the Han Dynasty, Xinning area belonged to Hunan County and Xiaopu County (now Xiangxiang City). During the Sui and Tang Dynasties, Xinning area belonged to Hanyang County and Baoying County respectively. In the Song Dynasty, a county government was established in Yicheng Town to manage Xinning, Lian Bi, Dong Tang, ouchi, Jintang, Taojiashan, Taiping Town, Sanjiaotian, Huading and Yongle. From the Ming Dynasty to the Qing Dynasty, Xinning area successively belonged to Yiyang County, Yiyang Prefecture and Zhuzhou Prefecture. 19 12.
