What are the mistakes in Yu Dan's The Analects?

Yu Dan made eight mistakes in his understanding of The Analects.

Literally, they are beautiful and catchy, but the meanings of each layer are quite different. She got a lot of knowledge from various channels, including Taoism, Buddhist scriptures, the Bible and stories of successful western people, but Confucianism was the least (she claimed to have read the Analects of Confucius under the guidance of her father who studied Chinese studies at the age of four, which was strange). In this way, people are made clear by their own vagueness, and as a result, all confused and silly people think they have made it clear. This is the first mistake.

Yu Dan's formula for understanding the Analects of Confucius is: modern problems+fragments of the Analects of Confucius+fables+popular truth. What is said and written is well known to the public, but it is really difficult to motivate the public to sacrifice Confucius and the Analects! The color of the book will be better if the part belonging to Confucius is deleted. Yu Dan Mei Mei keeps saying that "there are 3,000 Confucius disciples, including 72 saints", which makes people suspect that she has never studied the situation of Confucius disciples at all. It should be noted that the statement of "seventy-two sages" is the same as that of "seventy-two changes of Sun and Monkey" and "thirty-six changes of Pig and Eight Rings", and it is only the caliber of later generations, especially folk literature. In fact, there is no established list of Confucius disciples in Chinese studies. This is the third mistake.

Yu Dan said: "The real cultural classics are all things that can be extremely profound and infinitely simple. Its profundity is its spiritual connotation and simplicity is its superficial form. " In fact, the classic things are not necessarily simple, and the contents contained in The Analects cannot be summarized by "extremely profound" or "infinitely simple". Yu Dan simply summed up the essence of Confucius' thought as "telling everyone how to live a happy life that we need in our hearts". It is appropriate to evaluate the series of books of Osho, a famous Indian monk who sold well in previous years, but it is too distorted to say Confucius. This is the fourth mistake.

Yu Dan claimed: "I study communication. There is a principle in communication, that is, you should always keep it so simple, even stupid, and easy to spread." The premise of retransmission is simplicity and stupidity. "Have fun! On the one hand, my sister said that she respected Confucius' thoughts, on the other hand, she made Confucius and The Analects simple and stupid, which was the fifth mistake.

It is ridiculous that Yu Dan used Zhao Pu, the prime minister of the Song Dynasty, to prove that The Analects of Confucius is a great work. Zhao Pu is not a scholar. Anyone who has seen the history of the Song Dynasty knows that whenever Zhao Pu deals with problems, he often puts on airs with The Analects. In fact, those ideas are all planned in advance. " Look, these people read the least and are the most gullible. Yu Dan just gave these people a spiritual massage. The result is that what Yu Dan said is 20 miles away from the real Confucius thought. Through these audiences, their understanding has reached more than 200 miles away from the real Confucius! This is the seventh mistake.

In all fairness, it is not impossible to talk about a culture that does not change its taste on TV. Its premise is: be honest and try to read the book thoroughly, and then be humorous and interesting in expression. After watching Yu Dan on TV several times and buying her books, I think she is a boring person, but she always insists on humor. The result is that the degree of humor is very shallow, but she has lost the true thoughts that the ancients should have used. This is the eighth mistake.
