Shen Congwen, formerly known as Shen Yuehuan, was born in Fenghuang County, Hunan Province. He is a famous writer and researcher of historical relics in China. He has many works in his life, mostly taking Xiangxi mountain village as the theme, and wrote famous novels such as Border Town and Long River. Among them, "Border Town" is the most famous, and even the remake into a movie has become a teaching material. I also fell in love with the place called Tea Cave written by Shen Congwen. This time, I read three or three short stories and had a different experience.

? Sansan, an ordinary girl in a mountain village in western Hunan, is naive and romantic. Her father died in his early years and lived in the mill left by his mother and father. After being explained by the housekeeper of the general manager's family, the young master still has "bad feelings", but the housekeeper of the general manager's family boasted to him that Sansan was a famous beauty here, which laid the groundwork for the fantasy that the mother and daughter hoped Sansan would marry a city dweller. But "city people" symbolize wealth and culture for them, and they feel inferior as rural people. They can only fantasize about such things secretly, but dare not show them. Three, three, young master who can only come to the city for illness through others. Although she still says she hates it, she has quietly planted a seed of love in her heart and began to sprout day after day in a calm day. However, the arrival of a bad news finally broke the illusion of the mother and daughter. The young master who came to the city for illness suddenly died of illness. The word "city dweller" always appears in the second half of the novel, which fully embodies the inferiority of Sanshan and his mother as "country people", which is also the conflict between urban civilization and the countryside. It can also be seen that Mr. Shen Congwen also feels inferior because of his "country people" identity. Mr. Shen Congwen praised the simple and natural beauty of human nature and human feelings in ancient Xiangxi society, which was not distorted by modern civilization, through the description of a hazy emotion in Seeds of Love and Awakening of Love. It also shows us the harmonious and simple interpersonal relationship and the primitive, calm and natural living state in the natural landscape, and expresses Mr. Shen Congwen's love and intoxication for his hometown. The whole novel has soft words, plain and natural tone, fresh writing style, and no ups and downs to describe one thing, which deeply embodies Mr. Shen Congwen's writing style. Although the episode "City Man" planted a seed of love in the innocent heart of three or three years and began to have a hazy understanding of love, it failed to let her enter the city and become a city man in the end. I believe that after the episode, Sansan still lives happily with her mother, but occasionally she will think of this dreamlike past and the city dream she once dreamed of. Although the mother and daughter have such a beautiful fantasy, from beginning to end, the "city people" have not shown their willingness to marry Sansan, and even their admiration is not enough. It's just a few jokes played by others that make the mother and daughter have this unrealistic fantasy, which can only dissipate with the death of "city people". It can also be seen that urban civilization attracts simple rural people. Mr. Shen Congwen can let me feel the opposition between "city" and "country" without any pen and ink to describe urban civilization, and also see his resistance to urban civilization.

Like Cui Cui in Border Town, Sansan has a beautiful and natural mind under the influence of simple folk customs, so I can be attracted by their clarity, whiteness and beauty at a glance. Unlike the common people in big cities, Sansan is like an uncut rough jade. Although it is not round, it is natural and moving. Although Cui Cui's love is strong and has obvious emotional lines, the heartfelt "love" can move me more, which makes me feel that girls can be so shy, ignorant, beautiful and natural. What is more similar between them is that their love ended in vain because of a person's death, and they can only return to the calm days before. Sansan is luckier than Cui Cui. She can still live a happy life with her mother, and Cui Cui has been lonely ever since. Both Cui Cui and Sansan are beautiful people bred under the simple folk customs of Xiangxi mountain village, which all reflect Mr. Shen Congwen's deep love and attachment to his hometown and his profound description of Xiangxi culture.

When I first read Border Town, I had a beautiful fantasy about Xiangxi, and I really wanted to go to the tea cave where green life lived, but I couldn't go because of all kinds of "secular" ties. After reading for three or three years, I made up my mind to see what kind of scenery and landscape it is that can breed such a beautiful world outside the secular world. In my opinion, the Xiangxi mountain village written by Mr. Shen Congwen is also a paradise, where I only need to worry about three meals a day and farming, and I don't have to care about many things outside the secular world. I hope I can live a comfortable life one day, and I also hope that Sansan will always live a comfortable and happy life with his mother in his own world.
