When I was a child, I just watched Journey to the West, and I thought the story was lively and beautiful. Now I look at Journey to the West again, but I feel that it is full of philosophy of life.

For example, when Tang Zeng and his disciples were in Kannonji, the Monkey King tried to show off his cassock, but the Tang Priest stopped him: "Don't be rich with others. If you and I are both single, I am afraid there will be a problem! "

Wukong: "Look at the cassock, what's wrong?"

Tang Priest: "You didn't pay attention. The ancients had a cloud, and they were tired of playing with things. It should not be seen by greedy and treacherous people. If you enter your eyes, you will move your heart, and if you move your heart, you will move your plan. " You are a person who is afraid of disasters. Answer whatever you ask. Otherwise, you will die, everything comes from this, and it is no small matter! "

As a result, Wukong did not listen to the advice, but took out the cassock to show off, and was punished for throwing the cassock.

Before, I would definitely think that Tang Priest was too cautious, so I had a choice with the Monkey King: Take it out and see if there were any obstacles, even if something went wrong. Anyway, the Monkey King, have the ability to put things out, even if not afraid of injustice. Anyway, with the help of Bodhisattva and other immortals behind him, he can finally save the day.

Now I think that Tang Priest is right to do this: people should not show off their wealth in front of others, otherwise they will lose all their money or die. It's better to keep a low profile when dealing with people. If you are too ostentatious or sharp-edged, you will easily get into trouble and eventually suffer in this respect.

Laozi said: "If you can't see what you want, you can make people's hearts not chaotic." It means: don't show off the property that can arouse desire, so that people's hearts will not be chaotic. Wealth is touching, so the ancients often said that wealth is not obvious, which is a wise saying!

Tang priest sees through people's hearts, but he can't see through monsters; Wukong's eyes can recognize monsters, but they can't perceive people's hearts after all! It seems that there is some truth in choosing Tang Priest as Wukong's master.

I remember that Bodhi had taught the Monkey King not to show off his martial arts in front of people: "Can this kung fu show off in front of people? If you see someone else, won't you beg him? People will beg you if they see you have it. If you are afraid of disaster, you must preach it to him. If you don't preach it to him, it will definitely hurt you and your reputation will be in jeopardy. "

Whether it is property or skills, don't show off too much in front of others. You never know when you will be hated by others and eventually bring disaster to yourself.

There is no need to harm people, and there is no need to prevent people. The ancients said great wisdom!
