At a summer camp party in Maine, eleven-year-old Holly Puckle (Lindsay Lohan) meets Anne James (still played by lindsay lohan). Although their faces are strikingly similar, Holly doesn't like Annie, and Annie doesn't want to talk to her. However, the two of them soon discovered that they were twin sisters, but they were separated by the breakdown of their parents' marriage shortly after birth. Their parents, Nick (Dennis Quaid) and Elizabeth (Natasha Richardson), met on the Elizabeth II during a voyage and got married during the journey, but their marriage broke up. Nick raised Holly alone in his Napa Valley vineyard, while Anne lived in London with her mother Elizabeth, a wedding dress designer. Neither of them knew that they had a twin sister before they met at the summer camp. In order to know more about their parents, the two decided to exchange identities and come to their father or mother who had never met before. They were going to pretend this way until Nick announced that he was going to remarry. The two sisters decided to help their parents and rekindle the flame of love for the second time. But Nick's attractive but annoying fiancee (Elaine Hendricks) has brought great trouble to their plans.
