The deep feeling in my heart comes from a group of forest workers in the Municipal Forestry Institute who are "pragmatic and honest for the people". This is a group that works hard, is dedicated to its work, adheres to poverty, and has long-term roots in the grassroots; this is a group that unites in fighting and makes selfless contributions. They used their unpretentious lives to perform the moving music of grassroots forest workers. They used their practical actions to teach me how to be a forest worker who is "pragmatic and honest for the people."

Some people may laugh at me and say: Aren’t you just bragging about yourself? My answer is: yes! Because their touching deeds are still unknown.

They regard benefiting the people as the basic criterion and unremitting pursuit of politics, and truly achieve the goal of using power for the people, caring for the people, and seeking benefits for the people. In order to improve the living conditions of the workers, they overcame numerous difficulties and, with perseverance, won the three battles of seedling compensation, buyout and resettlement, and building and relocation. Every battle is a reflection of their hard work and sweat. I still remember that September 2009 was a critical period for workers to relocate and build houses. The first batch of 25 households started building houses. However, the construction site of the new residential area had no water, no electricity, and three was short of money. Under such unfavorable conditions, they actively raised funds, hired construction workers to install tap water, set up a 1-kilometer-long temporary three-phase power line, and provided incentive compensation to each employee who started building houses in advance. A team of people from the committee stayed at the construction site day and night. Under the scorching hot sun, everyone was sweating, and their skin was tanned and translucent. When they saw a brand-new residential area, neat rows of small western-style buildings displayed in front of people, and workers moving into new homes, they smiled knowingly. They work hard to do their jobs well with a down-to-earth spirit of hard work. They truly work hard and work hard to achieve practical results.
