Which is better to play games, i9 7980xe or i7 7700k?

From the point of view of playing games, i7 7700K is better with four cores and eight wires, because i9 7980XE has many cores, which are mainly used for work, such as rendering, video editing, 3D, PS, multitasking and design. Large-scale games don't rely on many cores, the main frequency is high enough, and the single-core processing ability is strong. I just overclocked to 5.0 with i7 77000K, and all large games can be played efficiently.
