If you were tasked with introducing 3 movies to people who have never seen them, which three movies would you choose?

To some extent this will always depend on friends' specific tastes, but I'd ignore that and try to choose some movies based on generality - casual people might not like that, but they might Will take the best photos.

I'm going to start with a horror movie, for which I found myself transported back to one of the coolest movie watching experiences ever. It was in a film study class when I was 13 years old and I saw Jaws for the first time.

I could say this group of rowdy junior high school kids were invested in this photo, but that would be an understatement. We are hooked, line and sinker; every emotion this film attempts to portray is intoxicating.

At one point, as Brody is walking on the boat, he slips and quickly regains his position. It was a very quick little thrill, but literally everyone in the room was immediately out of breath. That's when I knew I was in for something very special to watch.

As for a comedy that will make you laugh without worrying, I am once again looking forward to a very successful viewing with my friends Monty Python's Life of Brian.

This is an excellent Python movie, and it's not even over yet. Not only is this a profound work and a masterful capture of authoritarian and dogmatic ideas, it also adds to the AB narrative and makes each joke funnier within the context of the story.

And this narrative can certainly help newcomers avoid boredom, even if it is essentially an episodic novel. But this is a funnier movie than the one before it, with every joke directed to a satirical purpose, and many of them still relevant today.

But it's also one of the most unflinchingly optimistic films ever made. Every sad moment has comedic purpose, and it feels like each protagonist is always trying to improve their lives.

The last song is one of the most enjoyable endings in cinema. That's because it's the ultimate statement of optimism in one of the most endlessly optimistic movies ever made.

I am finally leaving the 1970s and entering the present day for this film that will capture everyone's attention. That's because I think it's imperative to show off "baby's first foodie," Christopher Nolan.

I especially hope they watch The Prestige?, which is basically a great example of a movie that will blow a newbie's mind. In its final act alone, the film delivers one of its biggest twists, both in how it reinterprets the narrative and in its sheer unpredictability.
