Alibaba's cloud

There is a tradition among Tibetan villagers in Ali area. No matter on the roadside or on the grass, if you put something down, just press a stone on it, which means it has its own owner. No matter how many days, no one will touch it.

On the way from Shiquan River to Pulan, we put a bread, a notebook, a ballpoint pen and a small stone in a paper pocket in a conspicuous place.

In this way, we hurried on the road again.

Three days later, we came back. From a distance, I saw the place where we put the paper bags, where the north wind was blowing. The clouds in Ali are white, and the hearts of Ali people are like the clouds in this plateau.

How are sunset clouds formed?

As we all know, the white light of the sun is actually composed of a series of colored light waves such as red, orange, yellow, green, blue, indigo and purple. The wavelengths of these colored lights are different. The red light wave is the longest, followed by the orange light wave, and the purple light wave is the shortest. Molecules in the air and countless tiny dust and water droplets float in the air, which can disperse various rays of the sun. This is called scattering. At sunrise or sunset, because sunlight is oblique and passes through the thick atmosphere, molecules, water vapor and impurities in the air make the short-wave part of light, such as purple and blue light, scatter a lot, while the light wave part like red and orange light does not scatter much. Therefore, when it irradiates the lower atmosphere, long-wave light (especially red light) accounts for an absolute majority. At this time, not only the sky in the direction of sunrise and sunset is red, but also it is illuminated.

The flaming cloud formed at sunrise is called morning glow, and the flaming cloud formed at sunset is called sunset glow. There is a proverb in China: "Don't go out at dawn, but go to Wan Li Road at sunset".

It turns out that the morning glow shows that there are many water drops and clouds in the eastern low altitude. As the sun rises, the thermal convection will gradually develop to the flat, the clouds will gradually become dense, and the local weather will become worse and worse. Sunset is mainly related to the scattering of solar light by dry particles such as dust, which proves that the weather in the west is relatively dry, indicating that there will be no storm in the atmosphere in the west.

The vast ocean, like the building where people live, can be divided into several layers. From the surface of the ocean to the water surface 200 meters deep, it is the upper layer. Here the sun shines through the sea, and the sea is brighter. The water layer from 200 meters to 1000 meters deep is the middle layer, because the sunlight can't completely penetrate the seawater, and the light is very weak. The water layer from one kilometer to four kilometers is the deep sea layer, which is a dark world.

In the middle of the ocean, the light is very dark, how can the fish see? Aren't they just swimming around and bumping around? That won't happen. The fish living on this floor have very big eyes and can see the things around them clearly in the weak light. What's more interesting is that these fish's eyes are not only very big, but also protrude outward, so they can see far like telescopes. Some fish don't have eyes on both sides of their heads, but face forward or upward together, so that they can see the same thing more clearly. There are also some fish with light-emitting devices on both sides of their bodies, flashing green light. They look for food and greet their companions with the light from their bodies. This kind of fish gathers together, looking from a distance, like stars flashing, but also like thousands of lights.

Fish's eyes are useless in the dark world under the sea. It is strange that all the fish that live here can shine. How strange it is to have bright "lights" on the dark bottom of the sea!
