Why do golfers earn so much?

Golf is not an aristocratic sport abroad. Just like tennis in our country, it is actually a very common mass sport, but this day has not yet arrived in China, including bowling. I remember it was only in an upscale hotel.

The high prize money of golf has nothing to do with whether the sport is "noble". Is the superstar bonus of famous American NBA teams high? Are the bonuses in La Liga, Bundesliga, Premier League and Serie A high? But can basketball and football be regarded as aristocratic sports?

Some of the above statements are just my own imagination.

The real aristocratic sport is one of the equestrian events in Britain, but those who can afford it don't care about the bonus at all.

On the other hand, the high income of golfers is because it is a very famous sport. There are many top competitions and top players in the world. Advertisers and sponsors are willing to pay for this kind of competition, which is popular and effective. This also proves from another side that golf is not a minority aristocratic sport.

It is true that golf is still more expensive than table tennis, which we China people have been used to since childhood, but it is much cheaper than yachts, horse races and racing cars.
