What's the difference between jimei district and Siming District of Xiamen University of Technology?

Siming campus is an old campus, mainly specialized in junior college, located near Xiamen University in Siming District. Looks more like high school. It is a well-known college. Jimei Campus is located in Jimei, close to the high-speed entrance. Mainly undergraduate major, close to the rural-urban fringe. There are undergraduate majors in mechanical department, foreign languages department and so on. The campus environment is ok, except that the sanitation at the entrance of the dormitory area is very poor, and because there are many barren hills around it, it looks desolate.
