When my parents got married, the gift money was only ten dollars and twenty dollars. Of course, they will earn less then. Later, prices and labor went up, and everyone's income level was greatly improved. Even if you ask an acquaintance in the village for help, a person's food expenses will be more than 30. And everyone's income is high, so it is tacitly high.

120 to 1200, which was not bad at that time. I don't remember when it rose to 500, but I remember that there were many wedding banquets that year. Everyone seems to be used to such a high amount. After all, I can get it back today if I get remarried or my children get married another day. I don't follow the crowd, I follow the crowd.

But personally, if it is a courtesy, it is better to be like this village in Guizhou. This will not cause too much economic pressure to the guests who come with the ceremony. In fact, a few years ago, my parents thought it was not good to follow the crowd. It would be nice to pay off the debts they owed when they got married. You won't let me fall into a strange circle of conformity.
